I found a study that mostly focused on radicalization of incels but have also pointed out that, in most cases, they do struggle with intense depressive symptoms and aren't receiving support (study). If, for example, their guardians were also perceived as socially awkward during their adolescence, incels didn't received proper instruments in how fit into the society.

It is and it isn't really. It all depends on if you have actual sexual chemistry with your partner. Which is something that you only figure out once you start having sex with them. I mean yeah you can hook up with a girl in a one night stand or have a few encounters with them and they're alright. But nothing more than that. It's just "alright".
But let's say that you meet a person and have an ongoing sexual relationship with them. They figure out what makes you tick and vice versa. Then eventually your taste's change a bit and vice versa. You both evolve and keep going.
Actual GOOD sex with someone is pretty damn awesome.
Mediocre sex with someone is just that. Mediocre. Or bad even. I would deem that as an overrated experience.

When people try to reason with incels and offer them something of comfort, I think they remark that sex is overrated to try and convey the truth that having a sexual encounter isn’t going to fundamentally change who you are or even your circumstances. What ends up happening is that they give the impression that sexual gratification isn’t valued, when it clearly is.

I shared this in the redpill thread but I thought I'd post it here since stuff this blurs together with this topic. This guy is technically not an incel since he's supposedly married but he shares a similar mindset to a lot of incels. He is an advocate for NoFap, which I don't see a problem with, but he goes way too far in his videos in regards to suppressing his sexuality. From the looks if it, he likely had childhood trauma that caused him to supress his sexuality. He got married recently IIRC. He's been that way ever since the inception of his YouTube channel, he just became more and more extreme as time progressed. So his spouse likely has no influence on his behaviors.

Yeah, disregard when I said otherwise. I think women can have a high craving for sex but they definitely still don't crave it as much as men do. As someone who's been in a relationship before, I can confirm that saying something retarded is enough to put a woman out of the mood. Women aren't just the gatekeepers of sex, they're the gatekeepers of all physical touch, even getting a hug from a woman who's not insanely hideous or very old takes effort.

In my opinion I think those views are still very extreme and actually do more harm than good IMO, even if it is part of his religion, which is exactly why I don't practice that religion.

I think he probably jumped the gun and married so soon was to quail the storm inside him that craves all those urges, which that in it's self is a very risky game of Russian roulette.
