This nigga is quoting wikipedia. And everytime someone talks about mindset they either are a snake oil salesman or parrot them blindly. It doesn't matter how bad you think things are. The healthy response to failure is not, in fact, "whatever, it's out of my hands now"; in the biz, that's called an external locus of control, and it will melt away your self-esteem and reduce you to an ineffectual wimp. At risk of sounding like a cringe ass boomer, I truly genuinely think that this mindset is behind a majority of our issues and is far more relevant to the grievances voiced in this thread than the housing crisis or the loss of shopping malls or anything of the sort.
I see we're back to denying reality. And how are we going to fix this? Gonna all band up together, kick out all the foreigners and enact the day of the pillow?but they're not indicative of some insurmountably terrible period in history
How many? No, that can't be true; there are still people out there making lasting real-life friendships, though perhaps less often than before.
The it's always your fault mindset is just gonna strip you bare eventually. When a pidgeon shits on you, someone T-bones you and your girlfriend cheats on you going "My fault" is just gonna make you unhappy. Taking blame that isn't yours is just creating a toxic relationship out of thin air.The game has become harder but it is STILL YOUR FAULT IF YOU LOSE. Remember this. The onus is on you to put yourself out there and set reasonable standards, just as it was for your parents, and their parents before them.
You can make every correct move and still fail. That's how life is. Blaming yourself will achieve nothing but make you miserable. And it will force you to start not just caring about things outside of your control but creating this clear disconnect between your assumed control and the real control which will drive negativity into you. When you're in the control mindset, failure will suck. It's *supposed* to suck.
And failure isn't really supposed to suck unless you are the one to blame and even then not for long. Beating yourself over something too much will not get you anywhere.
No. What has been so fulfilling the past decade?we're one of the luckiest, most fulfilled generations in human history
Was it giving up our youth for old farts under the threat of imprisonment?
The financial recession making it so we can't afford anything?
Video games and social media are neat but even those got worse under our eyes.
"I'm such an empath my guys I can't even detect humor"Boy, you sound an awful like a boomer. Just pull yourself up by your bootstraps bro.
