The largest industrial disaster ever was straight-up stereotypical bullshit. Keep those fucking donkeys out of the Chemical Industry.
Up to 20,000 dead and up to half a million injuries, the entire city of Bhopal was gassed with pesticide. The Indians
still haven't taken responsibility for this.
India continues to try to prosecute the US company Union Carbide, despite the fact that Union Carbide had repeatedly investigated the plant and demanded they clean up their act. It was genuinely a hellhole - the Pajeets had fucked up literally
everything and they still try to blame the USA, or demand money from Union Carbide. Here's a list of Indians who fucked up:
-the staff and managers who continued to try to run the plant despite orders to stop and repair critical components (containers had to be filled with pressurised inert gas, that system failed, so they just started dumping more chemicals into the container. The chemical has a low boiling point, and the inert is there to keep it as a liquid and help to get it out of the container, because a pump risks boiling it)
-Scrubbers were fucked, they were told to fix it. They refused. The
fucking coolant system was broken. It has been broken for months. This shit is similar to a chemical weapon, it has a low boiling point which means it requires constant refrigeration to keep it as a liquid.
They kept trying to produce it despite this.
- The staff who refused, point-blank, to perform basic maintenance - for reactors, especially shit burning, rust catalyses shit like that and really makes a bad day, worse. The pipes were rusted and falling off. They refused to fix it.
- the rumoured plant employee who pulled a hose to the tank, and added water (the entire system is built to prevent that, and the water inlet pipe for that reactor is too narrow and too steeply angled to allow for water to cause a runaway reaction - you would have to open it up to add water) - the single biggest "mass murder" case in history, and it's a stretch to call it that because
all of the staff were guilty.
- When the pressure started rising, all of the automated warnings were
ignored by the senior management.
- Several
staff members were poisoned and they
took a fucking tea break instead of investigating.
- The
multiple layers of leak prevention were out of order.
Literally everything about the Bhopal incident was a straight crime. Even the evacuation system for the town had been disconnected - because "minor leaks" of
weapons-grade toxic gases were a regular occurrence. When the police started seeing the
bodies piling up the operators
lied to them.
There really isn't a word to describe the abject horror story that is the Bhopal disaster.
But who is
really to blame? American industrialists, of course. Because all of this - every lying Pajeet - is innocent and the American company should have known that the average Indian cannot help but
lie, tamper with documents and murder thousands of people in their sleep.
India, to this day, demands the Union Carbide company pay damages. If anything, the Indian government should be paying the Americans for the
cost of the entire fucking plant. They lied at every single opportunity, and the company itself tried to investigate it. The Indian government stopped them from doing it, screaming about colonialism and shit.
The Union Carbide CEO showed up in India to help with the
hundreds of thousands of people needing medical support. The Indian government arrested him, and he had to pay half a
billion in ransom money. They
still claim he is guilty. By the way, the company which ran it was owned 50:50 by the UC company, and by the Pajeets themselves. Everything about the entire thing was an Indian problem. UC
were literally the biggest shareholder. That's it.
They had tried to intervene and the Indians refused to cooperate whatsoever. Bhopal is like Chernobyl on steroids - how in God's name Indians don't have a reputation worse than the USSR, I'll never know.
