Very late response I know, but I was thinking back to this and looked at the https://snootgame.xyz/en/ site. All of that got moved to the download page.

I will say, one thing I liked from GVH and the 4th good ending, is Stella tossing away her tarot cards and deciding to pick her own path and future, instead of what the cards tell her. Its kinda very anime, but I do kinda like the idea of a character not wishing to be held by what "fate" tells.em and instead going "Fuck you, Im deciding how my story goes"

At times, Nanaki doesn't seem to like GVH as much as he likes to hate on Snoot game. Like he's the kind of "fan" that rather than consume the IP they supposedly like, they'd rather sperg over anything they consider competition. Not too different from the Pokemon fans that got mad at Palworld when it was released, despite a lot of those pokemon fans probably not playing anything beyond the DS entries.

I don't know if the "end of the world" theme was known by Cavemanon while they were making Snootgame, but I honestly think that the complete lack of a doomsday scenario in the final product does help the whole "what you do matters" theme. As opposed to "do whatever you want because we'll all die within the next few weeks."

Snootgame is better for it.

Snootgame was never trying to be GVH but better. It is a parody game after all.

The game is basically a husk of its former self after they gutted the story out of it. There not much to it. Hints of good ideas and evidence that there was probably something at least interesting there but the final product is the least notable aspect of the game's entire legacy honestly.

Oh, okay. I'm asking because I heard that 4chan made it better, if I'm not mistaken but if it sucks, I will be better off watching the walkthrough on youtube.

The 4chan version is called Snoot Game, that's the better version. It's a visual novel though, so if you're looking for interactivity while playing music you're out of luck. It does have multiple endings though. Remember that Anon, the main character, is stupid. Make choices like you're advising a slow high schooler who overdosed on 4chan.
