I think the big deal here is that memeufacturing isn't just a dumb kid, but the dumb kid that every other Tumblr teen desperately wanted to be. He had over 100k followers before he deleted, and pretty much codified the whole "15-year-old Tumblr user" thing: constantly trying to act like a smug know-it-all about politics while actually knowing jack shit, posting "Yikes™" and memes instead of arguments, harassing people and hiding behind "I'm a minor!!!!", the works.
