Judge Mark Pittman, a Trump appointee, found that a federal law making it a felony to distill spirits at home exceeded Congress’ power, holding that neither Congress’ tax power nor its ability to regulate interstate commerce justify the ban. Pittman
Is this the case that will overturn Wickard v. Filburn?

He brought up insulin again saying Trump will remove the price fixing. You know the thing Trump priced fixed with an EO. Then Biden repealed said EO and then promptly put back in place with an EO.

This is one of my largest pet peeves and is such a massive lie that you can't even spin.
Looker deeper into it, it seems the only real difference in policy is that Biden's order covers more people then Trump's did.

From an article on it:

What did the Trump Administration do?

In 2020, the Trump Administration established a voluntary, time-limited model under the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation known as the Part D Senior Savings Model. Under this model, participating Medicare Part D prescription drug plans covered at least one of each dosage form and type of insulin product at no more than $35 per month. The model was in effect from 2021 through 2023, and less than half of all Part D plans chose to participate in each year.

What did the Biden Administration do?

In 2022, President Biden signed into law the Inflation Reduction Act, which included a provision that requires all Part D plans to charge no more than $35 per month for all covered insulin products, and also limits cost sharing for insulin covered under Part B to $35 per month. Deductibles no longer apply to insulins under Part D or Part B. These provisions took effect in 2023 (January 1 for Part D; July 1 for Part B).

What the November election could mean for people who need insulin

President Biden has proposed to extend the $35 monthly cap on insulin out-of-pocket costs to people with commercial insurance. The Biden Administration and Senate Democrats included a similar provision in the Inflation Reduction Act, but that provision was stripped from the final legislation after the vast majority of Republicans voted to remove it. According to KFF analysis, more than 1 in 4 insulin users in the individual and small group markets and about 1 in 5 insulin users with large employer coverage paid, on average, more than $35 per month out-of-pocket for insulin in 2018.

The House Republican Study Committee proposed a full repeal of the Inflation Reduction Act in its FY2025 budget proposal. While it is unclear whether Trump supports repealing this law in its entirety, doing so would eliminate the $35 insulin copay cap for millions of insulin users with Medicare and leave in its place only voluntary efforts offered by the three major insulin manufacturers, which apply to many people irrespective of their health coverage.

Pretty ridiculous Biden needs to use this as a talking point to try and help his campaign. To be fair its not like he can say his administration "cured cancer" somehow which is something he promised he would do then quietly walked back after the 2020 election.

Considering the slew of cases in the 5th circuit challenging the GCA and the NFA it's going to be an insane year for sure. It'll be funnier if this turns out to be the cause of the 2nd Whiskey Rebellion (War against federal tyranny).

Good sir, you first must kill off NAFTA. Given the congressloons are hell bent on doubling down there's no chance short of voting both parties out of power (Or the US loosing WW3) that will happen.
That's what the moonshine is for! No official wants to deal with a bunch of moonshined & Zyn up white boys.

Reminder felons are functionally exempt from the NFA(Haynes v. United States). Most of the hoodrat gangbangers are or quickly become felons.
I had zero idea this case even existed. This is the stupidest shit I've ever heard. So you're telling me that all of those hood soldiers you see waving their glocks wit da switches n sheeet are functionally immune from prosecution under the NFA? Meanwhile if I put a forward grip on a handgun I'm suddenly looking at a 10 year prison sentence for committing a felony?

That's a good enough reason to throw the NFA out altogether on its own, it can't even functionally serve any purpose in reducing crime? Retarded judges made retarded decisions that prevents that to this day.

The way he keeps saying that is really weird, because it's ripped from The Adjustment Bureau...
Last night he was really throwing them under the bus. I hope Joe takes the mask off and just starts fucking everyone in these public events instead of trying to maintain positive campaign image since all hope at this point is lost.

Donald "Herbert Hoover" Trump. They're desperate.
Yeah, that fucking reeks. One of the major rules of comedy is you really need to keep your political humor current.

It has the same vibes as Jerry Seinfeld in 2024 going “so what is the deal with Warren G. Harding? You’d have to be a pretty lame president to be involved in a scandal named after a teapot!”

I might need to watch that movie.

Dementia patients can't really control themselves and keep forgetting social rules and who they are talking to. There is a reason old glowies have specialist retirement homes where the staff have clearance and background checks, they will just blab out top secret stuff without understanding they aren't supposed to talk about it and the young lady giving you coffee is not your secretary.

What would be the most amusing thing for Joe to blurt out at this point? That he really did get money from Ukraine? That he had some american reporter killed for talking shit about him? The N word? That the election is rigged for him?

It works as a joke actually, the political comment makes a lot of sense if you subscribe to the mindset of FDR cocksuckers. But like you said it is not a current joke, it doesn't work unless the people you are talking to have a pretty good understanding of US History. Even if they do it might not land well because even among FDR people most think Hoover made the Depression worse but not caused it or stretched it.

That was a Hilary Clinton remark if I recall but Biden did talk about taking "predators off of the street" back in the 1990s.

This was said a year before Biden sponsored the somewhat notorious 1994 Crime Bill (Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994):

This is one of the reasons Trump always one ups his opponents; he comes up with the best nicknames, bigly. Sleepy Joe, Crooked Hillary. They're so simple they just stick in your head. He understands humor.

Donald "Herbert Hoover" Trump??? What the fuck is that?? It's not short and catchy, no one but sycophants will care.
