I think its more that its all direct friends of existing employees and they're not honest about the fact that they're just taking on super successful people. Hololive finds unknown up and comers who have good personalities/energy and makes them into stars. But with Vshojo people always ask, what does this company even do other than associate you with a porn star?

But again, let's look at Haruka as the example as they seem to be the application pick up Vshojo has.

Who is the shrodinger's indie out there who's application was ignored for them? Was there someone more qualified that applied and was ignored in favor of them? Because that's where the calls of nepotism would really find purchase is if there was some other known standout application but they just chose Haruka over them because she's friends with people on the inside, the only other big name I can think of who expressed any sort of interest back at the time was Snuffy and well, she's friends with the members too so can't really point to that and say Haruka won over her due to nepotism. And it's not dishonest for them to choose someone like Haruka over possible diamond in the rough #473. It is at the end of the day just choosing who was in all likelihood the most qualified applicant they had at the time.

Hololive does pick up the occasional literal who you're right but Holo's a whole different beast where the person coming on is presented as a totally new unknown face right out of the gate, that immediately devalues a lot of the benefit of hiring known figures because you immediately default to never acknowledging it. And those literal who's that do join are paired up in a generation with others often including less unknown faces who are then able to lift up the others in the gen while they find their bearings. very different from Vshojo where the person is just brought in as themselves, by themselves. Being someone with a name pre-debut matters for holo sure, but it matters all the more for somewhere like Vshojo where you're just coming in as "you" (obvious exception with the ex Niji's who couldn't have done that if they wanted to because Niji owns their old identities.)

I get how with a more cynical view the optics of their one implied application hire was just one of their friends already looks, But kind of in the vein that Zen's tweet was fumbling to point out, Vshojo just has their hands in a ton of the indie sphere already, the odds of their being an established indie looking into Vshojo who HASN'T already collabed with them or been involved when Zen, Mouse, and Haruka are constantly getting involved with random indies gets slimmer by the day. Something Holo can also sidestep with their more restrictive treatment of collab partners, the odds of an indie that's friends with a holo publicly making it into the company are slim to none because Holo's just don't collab outside their sphere that often. (Though hiring of friends and stuff does still happen even just today it was made pretty clear that Mori and Raora were friends before Raora joined holo, though some connection was always known since Raora's PL had done members wallpaper art for Mori before)

TLDR is despite the optics I think that's just a shortsighted way of looking at things (which I suppose is appealing reasoning if one wants to just say "Vshojo bad" but I digress). Why are big names favored? because in a job applicaton sense that is the best example of job experience for the application. You've established yourself so you know what you're doing and also getting to carry your identity over in Vshojo makings bringing in known and established names doubly beneficial. Why do they end up being friends of the existing talents? because Vshojo gets out of their box a lot and interacts with most big name indies already, On top of that consider that of established indies, ones that are friends with the members are already by default more likely to be the ones who want to join their friends. And finally just for more applicants not being taken in favor of poaches andpickups, why on earth wouldn't they, if they had X resources for new hires and had to choose between the indie grab bag application, or Kson/Matara/Henya. Easiest choice on earth from a business sense.

The Stars catch flack for merely existing in the same sphere as the girls sometimes and that only amplified once Tempus dropped ( The short lived Kronii and Stars saga comes to mind or Ame singing Regis's song).

You see it alot of it on social media where it feels like most of the English branch so segregated that when one guy ( Usually Rex or Octavio) wishes someone on the girl side a good day it leads to multiple qts and threads on Reddit and it's beyond silly.

I'm sure one could argue that it'd be more "professional" to not respond, but I've seen Kiara make literal responses to things people on here have said and that gets meet with coddling, so it feels like another double standard.

Personally, I think this whole ordeal says more about those overzealous fans than him.

I agree with the overall sentiment of what you're saying. Alot of fans who take the idol stuff too seriously are straight up retarded and everyone in the community makes fun of them for it. However I do still think it's bad optics to outwardly admit to antagonizing these people if you're a talent in the company.

People tend to give Kiara a pass because 1. She has the woman debuff and is prone to outbursts about things being said about her. 2...well, I think 1 pretty much covers it. It's to be expected really.

I will say that I've never watched a single video that had Jurard in it. Once Vesper and Magni left, I pretty much was done with stars aside from the occasional Bettel stream. You're definitely going beyond just quoting his words if that was somehow your honest takeaway from what was said there.

It doesn't take much to grasp that when he spent much of that conversation talking about "don't cause problems for other people, don't bother them, don't bring it up to them, what they do is their choice" to realize he's not from the start going into it with a "consequences be damned I don't care what happens to the other person mindset."

And again like I said in the last post nothing he said even gave room for people to schizo at mouse. I think kind of the root of it is just like he starts out saying at the start of the clip. When he's talking about people saying he's "brave" for openly addressing the female talent and how he thinks that's stupid and it shouldn't be seen that way.

1. Could have joined Vshojo if she wanted to.
2. Close with Nyanners and Vei, and some OTK members like Mizkif and Emiru having a poster of her in her streams. Could have joined Mythic.
3. Was superclose with buffpup which suggested she could have joined Vchiban.
For some reason she does not want to be a part of any organization that might give her more opportunities for more revenue. It makes me wonder if some agencies require background checks since she could have joined some agencies that offer great benefits for Vtubers on Twitch but remains independent.

Anny also got rejected around same time frame.


What Snuffy and Anny had in common was being super close friends with Vei and Nyanners.
Its weird because at that time or even still now Snuffy and Anny are bigger than Haruka and Geega in terms of CCV(neither made past stupid blunders like Haruka before joining Vshojo in the Garry's mod collab encouraging Pomu on stream to talk about her breast surgery like an autist). I guess if they did intentionally join as discord screenshots suggest than Vshojo pulled a great move not hiring them because I can easily see them leave Vshojo with Vei, Nyanners and Silvervale back at that time frame lol.
