He was shooting from prone, so innately stable position, from about the length of a football field if you include the end zones.

I took the civilian marksmanship course when I was twelve, and they had us do a range day with m1 garands that included shooting 600 yards with just iron sights. No flex, just putting shit in context

I haven't shot a gun in half a decade, and I've never shot an AR-15, but it's not like this guy missed by much, a few centimeters at most. There are a number of factors that could've lead to that, looking at the footage it looks like Trump slightly tilted his head before the shot, which might've saved his life
