Mega Rad Gun Thread

with the talk of "gym carry" maybe i'm a bigger weirdo for having a home gym setup and just having a firearm elsewhere in the room...
Still gotta flex on us broke bitches that have to drive to a gym, I see.
You're right, you're right. Glock is number one. You should send me one free of charge so I can spread the word. And I totally will not end up turning it into souped up ghettoblaster 3000.
I've done a 180 in recent years. My boomer tendencies toward plastic on my guns has shifted. I don't mind em now. Would still prefer metal over plastic 90% of the time, but cannot argue with how reliable they are.
I'm right there with you. I carry a CZ 75 Shadow most often (for exactly the reasons you think), but sometimes if I'm wearing shorts and it's a quick outing I opt for just my M&P compact.
Just buy a used one they're cheap
This is true. Also don't forget the M&P and the CZ P-10 series.

Anyone else notice the GOP essentially removing their promise to defend the 2A from their platform?

weight rack in the corner in the corner of the garage, a chip up bar bolted into the support beam for the roof (https://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Body-Press-Ceiling-Mounted/dp/B00OXUWOB6) and a workout bench i built out of square stock and padded up that is mounted to the wall with some heavy duty 5mm steel hinges and a spare garage door spring i cut down and use to keep it up against the wall (think balanced arm lamp, but it's biased to close if the hinge is closed past the "elbow" pivot).

you can get folding weight benches easy in lots of places though, i just wanted something that folded completely flat against the wall. the pull up bar is mounted directly above it to save space, weight rack is purposely in the far corner so you have to carry and walk the weights there as a cool off for a minute.

system works really well for me and i built something similar for a friend for like $100 worth of steel and springs with a lick of paint (clones of the retail units pretty much, used a pipe bender and a torch, et c). i think if i mount the pull up bar lower (which i haven't but i might make one) i could use them as parallel bars kinda, but then since it's against the wall i'm also thinking it'd be too inconvenient/dangerous without mats underneath and making a frame or something for more the middle of the room, but then i'd have to move it around all the time instead of just folding it up.

if so, i haven't seen it. it's been in their party documents for literal decades if not 100+ years. there hasn't been any announcement contrary to it either or immediate calls for "we must disarm the people" - about the largest thing was looking for information on how the guy got into a position to take the shot because that's a perimeter security breach if there ever was one.

Pistols seem to be on the cheaper side these days and continuing to drop.
basic bitch AR-15's that aren't complete garbage are hitting $400 and change. that's a huge price drop compared to prior years.

SIG P365 .380 is excellent

my current carry gun. shot countless rounds through it at the range and so far it has been the best shooting small frame pistole ive shot. though mine doesn't have thumb safety, i really dont see a need for one on a gun like this.

Makarov's are awesome
i have a cz-82, which i count as a makarov. probably the best pistol you used to be able to get under $200.

Fatrick Tomlinson claims the 400 foot Trump shot would have been a "chip shot" and could be done "reliably and repeatedly" with a HANDGUN

Is there some sort of adapter for a Eotech Eflx so it can go on something cut for MRSc?
C&H Precision probably can make one or are going to make one. they have a bit of a niche thing going making various adapter plates.

first of all lol @ tomlinson, secondly i can do steel challenge shots with a .44 revolver pushing 150 meters with confidence, so it's certainly doable for someone that's well experienced and practiced. however what were the environmentals? a .22LR is pretty affected by wind after a couple hundred feet and we're making assumptions that the firearm was well kept, or the shooter was well practiced or experienced. it may as well have been someone that stole a beat up .22 plinker and took a shot expecting the call of duty experience instead of reality. that doesn't mean it's a false flag or whatever.

I'm fucking retarded and barely half a day after I say this, shit gets weird. Might snag a case of 556 this weekend.

Time to research plate carriers for me and the misses.

Time to research plate carriers for me and the misses.
If you want something low profile, made in America with the proper materials, and surprisingly very inexpensive, check out the OTTE Gear LVZ OVT carrier. It fits both 10x12 and 9.5x12.5 SAPI cut plates. The grey and ranger green options are OOS right now. Hopefully OTTE gets them back in stock soon.

I wonder if there should be a thread for plate carriers, chest rigs and other tactical gear in the Self-Sufficiency subforum.

He must be very very fat to "conceal" his Chineseium boat anchor
an aluminum muzzle brake is absolute haram, tank designs on pistols tend to be garbage, you usually want either a 15 or 23 degree V or many smaller ports vs a few large ones this is because the high burn rate in short barrels often produce excessive pressures at the muzzle and a tank brake can be very blinding, more than what some might expect. the combination of heat, blast, and very fast moving small particles tend to chew up aluminum brakes on anything hotter than a .22LR or maybe .25 or .32 ACP. this is why nobody sane will use an aluminum brake on pretty much any defensive weapon other than like the shell of a suppressor for light duty use. 9mm is pushing up against the edge of what's safe in it if it's shot with any meaningful schedule.

also lol at the light, but a cheap used Fenix or Streamlight is under $100 and widely available. ThruNite TW10 is about as "low tier" as i would recommend to someone for a defense pistol. grip extensions are whatever, cheap ones are often ill fitted and can pop off with rough use, but if it works it works.

and wtf kind of grip is that? it's not cupping, but that's not a support grip i'm familiar with, the thumb looks like it would interfere with controls or slide movement and people stopped using the off hand's index finger on the trigger guard in the 90's, nobody does that shit anymore. lastly being his head down to the gun instead of squaring up and bringing the gun into his vision is a recipe to shoot too low.

if you find a good carrier, let me know, been thinking of getting a carrier and plate but too lazy to research it myself.

thanks for the suggestion. i would like to see that thread. this thread has been used for guns but also accessories and tactical gear. i think we could used a couple of threads each dedicated to a specific gun topic rather than just one large mega thread. separation of concerns and all that.

Looks like an AK-12
what it looks liek to me. that or someone has kitted out a normal 74 to look like a 12.

edit:
using the off hand's index finger on the trigger guard in the 90's, nobody does that shit anymore..

while everything else you said is true, i prefer using my left index finger in front of the trigger guard. call me retard, but i find it more comfortable and it helps me shoot better. i tried the current 'tacticool' grip that is popular now and i didnt care for it. i get better groupings and feel i control the gun better using the retard way. though i still think fatrick is a fat faggot retard and his glock is a boomer joke.
