Anyone can predict that the guaranteed outcomes of a successful assassination on Trump would be to guarantee complete turmoil in the US - possible civil war, but definite change of the status quo. And for sure whoever Trump’s replacement is would be elected and enabled to make radical changes.

And if you miss, it’s going to be much the same deal but with Trump in charge and untouchable.

It does also seem like the shooter would have to be an ideologue ready to die to make such a change. For that, right winger seems more likely. Probably a 4chan frog poster, I’m calling it now.

It looks like the shooter was using a red dot sight, now what gave him away was the glare and some alert people. Iron sights in combat are more dangerous if you're a better marksman you don't have to worry about lens glare. Same reason why decent snipers don't wear watchs

One is the spotter. Turn on sound. You can clearly see both USSS spot the shooter, do nothing, wait for the incoming fire, then respond.

Who are these two men who did nothing? Who told them to do nothing? Why did they identify the assassin and then retreat? Who placed them on this security detail?

If we assume what you posted about ballistics is true, and the gunman perhaps used a 9mm pistol fired from 100 to 150 yards away, if there was an unexpected 5 mph breeze perpendicular to the bullets direction of travel, that would cause a drift of 2.5 inches to 5.5 inches. That's enormous and is big enough to miss.

Even if the gunman used a rifle cartridge like a 7.69x39, at that distance, a small 5 mph breeze causes a large 3 inch plus deviation in the trajectory at that distance. That's also a large enough deviation to miss.

An unexpected breeze seems a very plausible explanation for why the gunman missed.

And let's not forget the secret service agents on the roof who saw the gunman, and did absolutely nothing. Who could they be working for?

Definitely, but that isn't "staged" territory anymore, this suddenly goes into "enabled". This I'm a lot more dubious on. It was an outdoor rally. The dude just walked in and up to the roof. I know the conspiracy theorists believe that there has to be some convoluted cover up. But I think some of you are over thinking it. This isn't some dumb ass anime where the villain and heroes both have complicated and intricate schemes. Really think about it, most cons are pulled off simply by someone acting like they should be where they aren't. They get away with something because no one thinks to look out for them or is expecting if someone is off it will come across different.
