Poppy doesn't understand why Lily won't bury the hatchet with her.

I don't get Poppy. She apologizes to you for platforming Courtney, but she also thinks the accusations have merit, but she also knows Courtney is an abuser and a liar? What's going on in her brain?

Poppy spent years fixating on me, and has so much pride invested in this one-sided crusade. She only went to Courtney to get dirt. Couple with the fact that she seems to be copying everything I do (changing her puppet's art style, changing her channel name to "Poppy and Zena - Tagline", using the Slaughtering Grounds music for dumb drama crap, etc) and there's this very strange obsession with me.
But being around Courtney and Brittany got her bitten and she saw first hand that they're abusive, lying shit-heels.
But she can't actually follow that through to its obvious conclusion because it's too much ego invested. It would involve accepting that she spent three years obsessing over someone for nothing. So she'd rather have it both ways where she's never wrong.
I know that sounds ridiculous, but remember this is woman who is mentally unwell and utterly refuses to seek treatment for it, and all of her self-destructive traits are being exacerbated by one of the worst enablers anyone has ever seen.
What's going on in her brain?
She's sick, constantly harassed and being taken advantage of. Poppy's behavior is irritating and frustrating, but it's something that only gets worse the longer everyone contributes to it. We're at the point in a harassment campaign where people are riling her up and making her melt down even harder so they can feel better about their own miserable lives. This is how "lolcows" work. It's how they've always worked.
Get obsessed with someone, harass them into suicide, and pretend you were doing it "for the lols."

After this ask, don't bother me about Poppy anymore. Just leave her alone, and stop bringing her up.

So after spending all the time slandering you as a sex pest because of (checks notes) some fanfics, KP's next video was about playing and laughing at a game about grooming a teenager into being a sex slave.
Wat?

I'm sorry, did you actually think Rachel gave a shit? Or had standards? Of course she didn't
KP has devolved to just being called Rachel or Rachel Cohen because Lily thinks it gives her power over her.

KP is moving on from drama, her last video is coming for Lily's terf, reviewing Kingdom Hearts for laughs. Not my style of comedy but it's better than inside jokes and incest references. Most people would understand the jokes KP is making save for when she keeps calling Ansem seeker of darkness הַשֵּׁם or אָשֵׁם (God or Guilt in Hebrew could be either or. Because it sounds like his name.)

I think probably the funniest part of Lily is that if you cross her (re: finally recognize her bullshit and bolt while you still can), she'll very quickly call you a Nazi or crazy or an abuser. To an outsider, you either think Lily is the most unfortunate of souls to constantly be hit with the worst luck in relationships ever, but to other people it looks like Lily is justifying alleged bigotry because they were friends with her and as soon as they stopped being a convenience she would immediately call them out for how they're actually a Nazi rapist all along.

It's even been directly pointed out before. Obviously we know the real reason is she's a toxic person, but the fact this keeps happening that she "somehow" gets associated with the wrong crowd constantly is rich. Were the signs that KP was a "bad person" always there, Lily? Did you ignore them for the sake of her continuing to benefit and support you?

The fact she knows of the hefty accusations against Vivziepop and Hazbin Hotel but still openly supports the show to spite KP says a lot, really. Lily's views have always skewed towards far-right but the internet gives her head pats when she says that black people should probably have rights. Can't say nigga or make rap music that has a statement which is the very foundation of what rap music is, and you definitely can't like the universally praised stoic black cartoon character because one article from one person said not to, but they probably deserve rights.

The clip where Lily immediately drops KP who only said she had some discomfort over the accusations implies their relationship really did mean nothing if the decision was that quick and easy. Lily could have easily explained her side, painted Courtney as a junkie abuser who had everything coming to her, and KP probably could've bought it with enough swaying. But Lily straight-up decided not to. I get the feeling she thought KP wasn't even worth the effort, which is pretty depressing when you think about it. I'm waiting patiently for when Mikaila gets the boot in the same way and it's revealed she abused Lily all this time.

WOW ITS ALMOST LIKE PLAYING A GAME WITH A CHARACTER THAT DOESNT EXIST IS LESS BAD THAN ACTUALLY HARMING REAL LIFE PEOPLE

it looks like Lily is justifying alleged bigotry because they were friends with her and as soon as they stopped being a convenience she would immediately call them out for how they're actually a Nazi rapist all along.

its already happening with all the brother crap

Hello, Usually a lurker but made an account. Anybody knows if anyone has saved Lily’s Artist Meltdown video she made it private.
Still in the Pony Archive.
But I'll put it here for posterity.

And here's the podcast covering the video, featuring the artist herself.

Not trying to derail from the main topic of Lily, and I haven't watched the video yet since I haven't had the time buuuuut...

The thumbnail looks suspiciously similar to Barry Kramer's "A Good Enough Summary of Kingdom Hearts"

Can't say for sure but... Hmm

As a former fan I do remember the weird dread I had over Lily reviewing The Owl House, a show I was really into at the time and was sort of afraid of Lily speaking badly about it as it would've forced me to reexamine it and I didn't really want to do that because I liked the show as it was. This was around the time it was hard for me to even engage in any media surface-level as I would dig into it critically and be unable to actually enjoy it. It was a really stupid and depressing situation to be in to not actually like art yet still interact with it all the time, and have this stupid Cinema Sins-esque voice in my head going "That's a plot hole, they didn't think that one through". Lily's praise initially soothed my thoughts up until she suddenly became critical of it because of a white character suddenly becoming a protagonist. I think this was around the time I was starting to make the switch from "Wow, she makes a lot of sense!" to "What the fuck is she talking about?"

Honestly, being a fan watching her content counts as a form of self-harm. It made me ashamed of what I liked and I felt like I needed to justify the content I engaged with so it perfectly reflected my morals. But in reality if you're judging someone for watching a Disney channel cartoon and you're in your thirties that's far more reflective on you than anyone else. It's a fucking cartoon for kids. The world will not burn because there's a white character in it.

However, as an artist legitimately my biggest fear is making something and Lily finds out about it. She'll either tear into it for years, which is pretty bad, or she'll like it, which is worse. If I ever make something Lily likes I'd honestly just kill myself right then and there. There's no actual recovering from that.

She does the same thing to Mikaila and Lolo, she belittles their interests to lower their self esteem, which other abusive Lolcows like Amberlynne Reid are notorious for doing.

On your second point Lily usually only likes new things if they have one of her 4 interests or if she wants to prove this thing is better than something popular. So, avoid elves, lesbians, incest, or cute kid characters. Then she will have no use for your art.
Genuinly curious. How do you guys think Lily would react to Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood?
It would be a shining example of sibling writing and anti-weeb shonen tropes until it does something she doesn't like. Although it probably wouldn't be anything of interest to her because it is full of stuff the female mangaka likes. Such as short kings, himbos, and so many shots of biceps.

That's a fun one.

She would probably like the Elric brothers, they're not very fond of the government and have a good relationship between them. She would probably dislike Winry, calling her typical japanese slapstick abusive and saying she and Ed shouldn't be togheter.

She would hate everyone in the government. Roy, Riza and Hughes are genocidal bastards that deserve to die no matter if they regret their actions and want to change things. Riza is too submissive for her taste and used as a prop for Mustang, Hughes' relationship with his daughter is the show trying to paint a war criminal as sympathetic, Roy let Ed enlist on the army as a child and should die.

She would like Scar. She would hate Hohenheim (not that I would blame her tbh).

She would think Nina's transmutation is torture porn and somehow a fetish. I'm not sure if she would like Izumi Curtis and her husband, either she loves them or she thinks they're child abusers because they left Ed and Al on an island.

She would detest May and call her relationship with Alphonse pedophilic.

Final thoughts are: Ed and Al should fuck off and live togheter platonically and with high levels of intimacy because no one treats them right or the same thing+the Curtis can visit sometimes because they're cool.

Also this is already the standard with Lily but there's no way she is actually watching the whole thing. Too long for her

Lily would sperg about about Scar because his whole arc revolves around him realizing that blind hatred and murder wont help anybody. In Lily's diseased mind that translates to "ERHMM Arakawa is rayciss cuzz she says brown man killin whitey is baaaad n shieeeeet."

Speaking of whitey he would probably have a shit fit because the cultures in this show tend to be very homogeneous.

She already wrote off FMA as basic weeb trash. It's shonen, it's not only popular but beloved, it had heavy action but also some pretty heavy themes. The main characters are both blond-haired white boys (because everybody in anime is white unless they are explicitly black, because there are only two races on the planet) so not only are we getting a male perspective throughout, there are no pure lesbian hijinx to be had or imaigined. There's basically no romantic subplot. And again, those loathsome weebs from high school wanted to talk about FMA and Naruto and dumb shit like that instead of Hamtaro so it's definitely not worth her time.

Icing on the cake is that it was made by a woman, and Lily haaaates successful female creators, especially if they're successful in a field traditionally dominated by men.

Omg totally.

She is very weird towards Asian people and Ling Yao is a man from a royal family so in her eyes he has nothing interesting to offer, but she might use him to try to paint Arakawa as racist.

"Ling Yao is a stereotypical depiction of chinese people and Arakawa doesn't let Scar kill everyone he wants, therefore she is racist and supports Japan's colonization of China."-Lily, probably.

Lily is a contrarian so the anime is totally a barely 5/10 and she doesn't understand why is so popular.

She would say the action is an obstacle on the story or some shit and it should have focused more on the Elric brothers and lower stakes and bullshit.

That too, maybe in addition to calling her racist she also says Arakawa is sexist trash or something.

She could also go on a rant about how she had to hide the fact she is a woman and how that means Japanese, Asian people the manga industry is evil and anyone who find comfort in anime is stupid ignore the fact she adores one of those anime about cute girls that is written by a man and designed to appeal to autistic males

It's so weird to me that people freak the fuck out and scream "ABUSE" when boundaries are enforced. I personally had to put up with that sort of thing and was considered to practically be the Antichrist. Why is it that people are like this? Why do they hate it when boundaries are enforced?

Because they're abusive, and firm unmovable boundaries make it impossible to cajole and coerce someone.
It's part of this attitude that giving a flat "no" is "too rude." Abusive people hate a flat no because it's immovable.

This just in: one person telling you to kill yourself over a fictional character is now fascism. Entire Twitter site breaks down. More at 11.

I actually like Hunter. It has nothing to do with him being conventionally attractive, I just think his arc was written well and his interactions with the other characters were pretty good.

If you only view him as the character who was on the bad side for two episodes rather than view the entire context then I could see the annoyance. His character archetype is played out but that literally means nothing. Every character archetype is played out. The plucky happy-go-lucky protagonist is literally a staple in shonen and fantasy-adventure that you could swap them out and very little would change. Wise old mentor? Played out. Rival who becomes an ally? Played out. Silly creature who acts like a pet but wants to be seen as intimidating? Played out. It can be boring to see the same bad guy character get a redemption arc but it harms nobody. What sells sells.

However there's far too much context behind his character to willfully ignore and write him off as Kylo Ren expy is really pathetic. You can dislike a character without calling the writers racist.

I may be wrong here since I'm not well-versed in this topic but Belos doesn't really count as fascist anyway. The only real fascist action he commits is outlawing wild magic but it's absurdly easy for people to get away with it anyway with minor curveballs. His main goal is literally eradicating an entire race/species, not unifying them under a specific goal or agenda. He doesn't care for anyone there, he just wants them all dead. At least you could make an argument that Hitler cared on some level about Germany, but you can't say Belos for one second ever cared about The Boiling Isles. If this still is fascism and I just tried to deny it was, feel free to call me stupid.

In that similar vein, just what about Hunter is Hitler-esque other than the fact he has white skin and sided with the bad people? He was fed wrong information his entire life. Quite literally he was an abused kid who thought he was doing right. It's an instance of a parent feeding hateful ideology to their child and the child parrots it without realizing the consequences.

Lily's reaction towards the very blatant abuse Hunter endured never sat well with me, especially since the abuse and its effects are actually far more explicit than you normally get in a children's show. It's so victim-blamey all because he's white and I know damn well if he were black then this argument would never be made (or it would turn into "Dana Terrace exploits a black teen's trauma for drama" or some shit). I know it's her MO and always has been but I've never been able to let go the sheer hatred she has over a kid who didn't know what he was doing.
