A security team is typically drilled on possible vantage points a shooter or shooters can take in the event of an attack. All of those buildings/areas are marked ahead of time days, sometimes weeks in advance with codes (think zone 1, zone 2 etc.) in case something does happen so that theres no guesswork involved in zeroing in on a potential shooter/shooters.

You can see the counter sniper who's taking a knee on the barn re-adjust as the first shot rings out. Likely moving from one zone to another. For whatever fucking reason, none of them had eyes on what would be the most likely vantage point for someone to post up and take a shot i.e. the fucking nearest roof with easy access. Couple that with the fact that the shooter had MINUTES up there for prep makes the whole thing stink.

I dont care how undermaned your SS detail is, youve got SWAT and local law enforcement working in tandem with them to shore up lack of manpower and they are ABSOLUTELY on the same page as a Secret Service detail. Anyone caught slacking off or underperforming is removed immediately or sent to work the front gate.

I typically dont like making judgement calls on this kinda thing because we're all human at the end of the day but the lack of judgement and action here really leads me to believe willful negligence at best and malice at worst.
