Mega Rad Gun Thread

I really want a top break, but that'll be later on down the line in terms of what I want/needs
The only reasonable option that isn't a .32 or .38 S&W(not Special) would be the Schofield reproductions which sit above $1,000 and are purely vanity/novelty pieces due to mechanical superiority of the solid frame revolvers with swing-out cylinders.

Here is something interesting, a WW1 Austro-Hungarian SMG (no not the Hellriegal):

What’s interesting is that one of the sources in the description states that there is still apparently a prototype of one in the Canadian War Museum located in Ottowa. Maybe Ian can get his hands on it one day, or maybe someone here could inquire about it.

You just know that 60 round mag is a jam-o-matic
the gen 1 schmeisser definitely is, however the gen 2 works quite reliably if kept with a little lube. tested with several several compatible MGs personally and it has seen some positive use in ukraine too - for whatever reason it's not shipped with lube at all which is required for the mag to function properly. a rub down with an oily cloth is enough.
I’m basically trying to get the cheapest possible 5.56. I’m looking at Guns.com because they offer direct financing
PSA has under $500 AR's that will work for the majority of people. i might not want to go to war with it, but for a super basic rifle it's hard to beat. while there are also ones under $400 i'm a lot less confident in a complete Del-ton rifle (lower is probably fine, but i've had meh to bad experiences with the uppers) and ATI (which is a borderline plinker but isn't dangerous to use).

cheap crap tends to be the most expensive if you actually want to use it - either with repairs, replacements, or losses from poor quality.

Do you want the cheapest possible AR, or the cheapest possible AR that will work and last for more than a few thousand rounds before it suffers a catastrophic failure?

I never see them run by anyone, even in competition footage I really only see the occasional 40 rounder. Obviously tacticool bros arent generally running them since they dont fit in a chest rig. They come up in conversation occasionally (like here) but Ive never seen and real documentation tests or reviews that shows them to be worth the cost weight and size.
