I would imagine that Discord (the company not the program) keeps backups of everything for purposes related to law enforcement, but if I thought that some random idiot in one of my servers just attempted to assassinate the former President, I'd nuke the entire thing from orbit just on the off chance that they don't or that it takes them longer that they retain the data. Most people talk a bit more edgy in private than anything public facing and if someone made a comment about heading off to kill Trump, I'm sure I'd say something back in jest that would not be read that way at all by federal agents who view sending me to federal PMITA prison as a great way of advancing their career.

If this guy was as much of an outcast as some of the interviews have made him out to be, I'm not even certain that many of the people who he might have interacted with on a regular basis would know him personally. They just notice that dark_wulf_03 (or whatever his handle may have been) hasn't been online since early July and maybe only suspect something if he came close to spelling out exactly what he was going to do. The NSA probably already knows, but I doubt that they want to tip their hat to that fact over a failed assassination attempt.

If I had to place blame on the rhetoric it would be Obama. Sure there was the birther theory perpetrators during the campaign, but I remember whenever some racial incident happened, Obama would go out with Jesse Jackson, Sharpton and the black caucus and stir up race narratives without all the facts. Michael Brown in 2014, Trayvon Martin in 2012.... They would go out and say 'he dindu nuffin' and then everyone would burn the town down whenever the verdict didn't go the way Obama said it should.

I also recall the constant talk about 'conversations about race' and it being shoved in our face. It was the start of DEI, and critical race IMO.

Once they crack the phone they can get communication and start looking into state of mind and planning since so much of our lives on are online. I don't trust the FBI but so far things it seems normal to me with no one jumping to conclusions.

Imagine how awful it’s gotta be to be the fed who went to Thomas Mathew Crooks’s home and recruited him. It didn’t look like he showered in a long long time in those photos. He must’ve had the worst smell.

I support Trump and seriously wonder at this point if he has the Mandate of Heaven, but comparing him to Teddy is a bit silly tbh. Even by the standards of his day Teddy Roosevelt was a tough sonofabitch, there is a difference between being saved from Death by divine intervention and being so rough that Death is afraid to take you any time you aren't sleeping.

Thread keeps exploding so here are my thoughts-
Why didn't SS shoot him first? Seems like multiple authorities saw him before he shot at Trump. Police and random attendees.

He must be a pretty good shooter, he was a few inches off. Maybe a hobbyist or he hunts animals? That happens in rural areas.

He was registered Republican. Did he change his mind or did a family member force his hand on the ballot? His family is probably Republican.

I wish we could find his thoughts. Maybe he was into some crazy conspiracy and thought Trump was being possessed, idk.

Ninja edit- I said this before, kinda concerned other leftists don't seem to see the humanity. Trump's reaction to being shot was pretty cool and will inspire many. I still hate his beliefs and I don't think he should've been shot at.

Not happening, the Democratic insiders are fully giving up on beating Trump now. The anonymous quotes in various journoscum outlets are hilarious, they're all 'we gotta focus on keeping the Senate and trying to take the House somehow,' 'it's fucking over' etc.
