Maybe this speeds it up, but I think a lot of it would have eventually failed anyway. I don't think the goal was for it to succeed as much as it was to smear Trump publicly in the hopes that he wouldn't win his party's nomination or that even if he managed to do that, he would still wind up looking bad to the undecideds in the general election.

I'm by no means a scholar on any of it, but I have done enough reading of the various cases to realize that it's all very flimsy or some seriously trumped up charges to allow for headlines that the average voter won't bother to read past.

The moment he walks on stage at the RNC to give his speech is going to be big, it's going to be impactful, and it's going to be iconic. Trump knows that it has to be his first appearance since the shooting. You couldn't buy a setup like this.

I think those streaks are from the blood flowing from his ear as he faced down when taking cover. Bullets tend to turn blood into a mist due to the velocity they travel.

I don't know, I'd expect that to start off thicker or at least equal size at the start where the blood first dripped onto the cheek and then ran down with gravity, leaving a reasonably wide stain at the "top" of the drip. But you can clearly see the streaks start off thinner, almost at a point, and widen as they travel anteriorly:



Like I could be wrong, I'm not an expert and I'm not going to do a frame-by-frame analysis, but I think a reasonable person could look at that and the other evidence and conclude that something went whoosh right by his head.

Dude - the fact that you can post that picture of the shooter's eye super-imposed over both faces and not clearly see that it matches Crooks is embarrassing. Stop. Just stop.

The contour of the dead guy's eyes more closely matches that of Crooks, but there is something else that doesn't, which is the thickness of the eyelids. Crooks has these thin, almost mongoloid looking eyelids. You can barely distinguish a lower eyelid from the photo of him. It's like he doesn't have one; just a straight, thin line. The dead guy has thick and puffy lower lids, like Yearick, but it could just be swelling, or the angle. Admittedly, this is a bit of a toss-up.

To be fair a lot of USSS jobs would also involve shit that has nothing to do with being a bodyguard where a 5'3'' woman or a hambeast guy could work like threat assessment, intel gathering, administration and such.
