Video Game Husbands - Lusting after pixelated men

  • 🔧 At about Midnight EST I am going to completely fuck up the site trying to fix something.
My very first game crush was Ryu Hayabusa.

Does anyone here like British accents, hammy voice acting and Shakespearean dialogue, and perhaps, possibly; vampires?

images.jpeg 425b7859672215.Y3JvcCw5MjYsNzI0LDE1Myw1NQ.jpgWith two options for catering to the monsterlover extraordinaire and the goth girl in all of us with a broody anti-hero look that resembles a certain other character.
I like characters that would absolutely murder me, and I'm not under any delusion otherwise.
Good to know that I'm not the only one.

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to baptize myself in the holy flames of promethium in holy water.

First there's the classic, my original husbando:

Considering how he was designed for the female gaze I'm sure everyone will agree.

Next is my niche favorite:

Miles Edgeworth, Ive always had a soft spot for smart, clean, well spoken men.

Finally, I know the thread is about men but I simply love her too much:

I fully completed Super Mario Galaxy just to make her happy.

I'll see that and raise you an Iron Bull.

Well I can't really think of any gaming characters that get me going. But, I can say that the only character I ever married in a game was Ghorbash the Iron Hand in Skyrim. And when he complained that city living would make the kids soft I agreed and we moved them to the Lakewood Manor.

Ah, another orc loving woman of culture.

I can't believe no one's said Geralt yet,

Geralt is sexy too, but that image is a 4k resolution 24 bit color png that took about ten minutes to load for fuck's sake. Posting something like that on a web forum should be a federal crime.

Use something like this, which is 1/243th the file size.

A woman of culture and taste I see. I loved both Kain and Raziel because of their voices. But almost all of the voice acting for the series is amazing in my opinion.

Reason I really like Loghain from Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Same voice actor as Kain. So he's on the fictional husband list by default.

I'm about to be mocked endlessly for this but.... Deacon from fo4.
images (41).jpeg
He's ugly and doesn't really do much compared to other more popular companions, but something happened when I first got him that I can't explain. He's smart, funny and the lore with him knowing more than he lets on is captivating to me.

I also can't do any other ending because I can't bear killing him.

Pls no bully.

I can't believe OP put John, and Arthur, but not Charles. You know, the guy who did more for us than anyone else in the game, is the only man in the gang besides Pearson who's actually a decent person, and whose forearms look like this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't TP!Link intentionally designed to be hot in response to all the angry letters from fangirls who were mad at Nintendo because of change from OoT!Link's design to Wind Waker's? And that TP!Link's own in-game fangirls were also a reference to that?
Akechi from Persona 5, specifically third semester version. Never liked a video character until him.
Akechi carries the entire game. He's just so fucking funny.

Delsus from Atelier Iris. "Fire in the hole!" indeed.;)

Kishgal from Ys Origin. Probably doesn't love anyone. But his concern for his sister despite saying they weren't close was touching. Plus in the end he's pretty honorable.

Griff from Recettear. Scary demon man turns clueless and cute if you interact with him enough after handing his ass to him in battle. I like to pair him with Charme because that's hilarious.

Post time skip Dimitri

He’s the only reason I ever bothered to pick the female Avatar after my first playthrough (never liked F!Blyeth’s design and still don’t). No joke, I didn’t really care much for anyone in the main cast until I laid eyes on post time skip Dimitri (right after I spent hours calling him noodle head). Somehow, he fits a very specific type of fictional man that gets me all giddy. Claude is okay, but he’s too sane for my Avatar.

Other than him, I can’t think of any other video game Husbando.

My OG crush. Agent 47. I'm kinda glad they aged him down in new Hitman from Absolution. He looks stunning now. He also still has his same quiet twisted sense of humour with his fake names and his hijinks of dressing up to kill people. Also I spent way too much time on the Island Resort level trying to spin him to see his full bare chest. Don't ask.

Always thought Valen from Neverwinter Nights sounded and looked cool. Never tried his romance, though I'm not surprised that he got so popular considering NWN's sister series BG2 only had Anomen as a love interest for females. I did try Anomen's romance and by the end of it I think I might have been happier with Xzar

I actually did go through his romance fairly recently. I personally enjoyed it. It does feel a bit rushed at the end, but overall I'd give it a solid six or seven out of ten. I'd highly suggest running through it yourself at some point if you're ever in the mood for a chivalrous, but brooding, paladin man.

Valen was a good romance option overall, especially after all we really got was Aarin Gend, the spymaster, in the original campaign. Most people didn't even realize he was a romance option for women at first, because he was that bland of a character. Great voice acting though.

I also always heard the rumour you could romance Daelen Red Tiger as a woman, but I've never been able to make it trigger on my countless playthroughs, so take that statement with a grain of salt. Good guy, just very unfortunate looking as he's a half orc.

My thread tax, and personal favorite character was Tomi Undergallows. He's a terrible little man but I do enjoy the terrible gallows humour he has. Too bad he's not a romance option at all, but that's always how the cookie crumbles.

Neverwinter Nights original campaign kind of sucks on the romance ratio between men and women. If you play as a male PC, you have three whole romance options; Linu, Sharwyn or Aribeth. Yet, if you play as a female PC, you're only really getting Aarin.
