What do you think of conservative atheism?

Sounds like I hit the nail on the head. If you want a more descriptive less meme answer, Atheism is reactive by its nature.
Atheism isn’t “reactive by nature” because it’s not a centralized belief system. All it means is that the person doesn’t believe in god. There are atheists of all flavors and creeds, some may—shocker—even be part of a religion like Buddhism, where belief in a god isn’t a requirement to follow its tenets.

Technically possible, practically Atheism is 95% of the time a "fuck you dad, I don't want to go to church on Sunday" which already puts you on the road to be a leftist.
i feel the atheists who are anti-theist are just people who have bad personal experiences and are blaming it on religion as an institution, as opposed to realizing anyone can have bad experiences anywhere, with anything. the victim mentality is definitely rewarded nowadays, and people are celebrated in certain circles for "escaping" religion.

this is a personal failing that just manifests through an ideology. not unlike western "anarcho-communists" who are actually just social rejects and failures, who blame the institution of capitalism for their personal lacking.

Unless you are born to an atheist family (which, granted, more common now), then you became an atheist as a response to the way you were raised.

Also Buddhism has gods and the whole Buddha itself as a living god. Being a Buddhist Atheist means you are a turbo faggot hipster that literally goes "I believe in souls and reincarnation but a being creating the universe is too much".

Sometimes that, sometimes it's just seen as fashionable/intellectual. There is a good reason why people here hate atheists.

The Buddha has condemned godlessness by which He meant the denial of worship and renunciation, the denial of moral and social obligations, and the denial of a religious life. He recognized most emphatically the existence of moral and spiritual values. He acclaimed the supremacy of the moral law. Only in one sense can Buddhism be described as atheistic, namely, in so far as it denies the existence of an eternal omnipotent God or God-head who is the creator and ordainer of the world. The word 'atheism', however, frequently carries a number of disparaging overtones or implications which are in no way applicable to the Buddha's Teaching. Those who use the word 'atheism', often associate it with a materialistic doctrine that knows nothing higher than this world of the senses and the slight happiness it can bestow. Buddhism advocate nothing of that sort.

There is no justification for branding Buddhists as atheists, nihilists, pagans, heathens or communists just because they do not believe in a Creator God. The Buddhist concept of God is different from that of other religions. Differences in belief do not justify name-calling and slanderous words.

Buddhism agrees with other religions that true and lasting happiness cannot be found in this material world. The Buddha adds that true and lasting happiness cannot be found on the higher or supramundane plane of existence to which the name of heavenly or divine world is given. While the spiritual values advocated by Buddhism are orientated to a state transcending the world with the attainment of Nibbana, they do not make a separation between the 'beyond' and the 'here and now'. They have firm roots in the world itself, for they aim at the highest realization in this present existence.

So perhaps not “atheistic” in a Western sense, but I’d say since you’re not worshipping a higher power.

analytically, im not sure how one can grow up without faith and be socially conservative, the objective morals that faith provides creates socially conservative values in people. so in my mind people should bare minimum be spiritual to be conservative.

ask an atheist conservative why they think pornography is wrong, or why marriage should be between a man and a woman, or why we shouldnt teach LGBT in public schools.

their answer will either be libertarianesque or "thats just the way things are"

when they correct answer is, Pornography defiles the act of sex, which was created for a man and woman to use for enjoyment and procreation for loving couples not promote promiscuity or sexual violence. marriage is between a man and a woman bc God created Man in His image, then bore woman from his rib. marriage is the Union that brings the two back together. we shouldnt teach LGBT in public schools for one bc well christians pay taxes too and how awful is it the state gets to undermine parental authority, and two bc it teaches children to that its okay to live outside the way God created us to live.

so to answer your question, no athiests cannot be socially conservative. they are just faithless, self centered people. bc in 50 years from now, when people are trying to upload their consciousness into some kind of dystopian genderless AI server or androids, they will be saying that there is 87 genders actually, we cant be genderless, bc thats just the way things are, being socially conservative isnt about maintaining the status quo, its so much more than that, its about preserving things that made western civilization dominate the planet and living how God wants us too.

I really don't think "my worldview and moral framework are unjustifiable without a omnipotent God simply dictating it to me" is the win that religious conservatives believe it to be.

yeah, the theists arguments about no moral without god always make the theist look like a sociopath. it comes off as projecting, without god id happily rape my mother and murder my neighbor, and kidnap children and literally the one and only thing stopping me from doing these things is i fear going to hell. saying stuff like that isnt a win like the theist think it is.

Very easy:
Faggot parades are anti-evolutionary and gross. They are purposeless. Marriage is a breeding contract. You need two opposite sexes because that is what homo sapiens biology needs.
Two faggots bum burgling will only ever produce a cum stained brown clump of feces which isn't an offspring. Teaching mental illness will just make you unproductive workers.

This isn't rocket science. This is just Americanism and the eternal mutt's lack of any historical knowledge and monumental ignorance about the rest of the world is what makes it possible.

Nobody needed divine intervention during the whole of history and the world to know faggotry was bad. Just look up what any atheist socialist who was smart enough to get into power had to say about it, and it will be some sort of camp, or a noose.

Even Stalin and Mao could figure this out, and they can hardly be called bible thumping consrrvatives.

care to explain why?

you dont do these things bc you grew up in culture where morality derived from faith permeated legality.

western culture is becoming so irrevocably fucked bc we are trending away from that.

you dont fear going to hell so much as you fear the legal repercussions of these actions, although morally in your heart and soul you know they are wrong too.

Not especially, no. If my reasoning is not intuitively obvious to you, you're just as deranged and psychopathic as your previous post implies.
lmao what was the purpose of your reply other than to be MATI then?

you didnt offer any reasoning other than "thats not the W you think it is" thats pretty open ended and vague.

i think there's way less of that now than, say, the early aughts. it was definitely huge back then. now you only really see those "euphoric" types on places like reddit. but yes, those edgy atheists are rightfully hated. i don't like them either.

"Atheism is reactive by nature because of contingent circumstances that even I admit are becoming less universally true over time."

Are you retarded?
Humanity was always majorly religious and the current cases of atheist families are a tiny fraction of the cases. You might as well argue that male and female don't exist because intersex people, a tiny inconsistency doesn't disprove a trend.

So perhaps not “atheistic” in a Western sense, but I’d say since you’re not worshipping a higher power.
You kinda are though. Even without the whole pantheon of birth/destruction, you have Buddah as a beyond god enlightened figure and the wheel of reincarnation.

It's kinda ties back to the issue that modern Atheism is basically anti-christian.

Humanity has done a lot of things throughout its history that’s considered antiquated (or illegal) now, like child marriage. Just because it was done and served a purpose at one point doesn’t necessarily mean it translates well to modern day.

Also there are a hell of a lot more atheists/agnostics than there are intersex people. I don’t see your point.

Sounds like I hit the nail on the head. If you want a more descriptive less meme answer, Atheism is reactive by its nature. It's not like you can prove/disprove the existence of god, and I doubt many atheists started researching other religions for alternative belief system. This creates a high bias for atheists to be anti Christian rather than having an actual meaningful reasoning of a non existence of a god. Decades of media propaganda showing Atheism as hip and cool doesn't help the statistics.

Of course rather than actually answer this you can sperg out on me again.
This seems like a take based out of being butt hurt that some people mock your beliefs. Someone can be a cunt and still have legit ideological reasons for how they think that they simply refuse to share with you. They can also have beliefs with nothing deeper than “that’s how I feel” behind it which is perfectly alright. In fact most people of every belief set, including Christianity; fall into the latter category

Nobody here was even being a cunt and they’re still butthurt. If people can’t accept having others talk about their beliefs without retaliating with baseless accusations then they’re unsuited for deeper conversation.
