If you are on the left, cancelling one is acceptable since they're racist, sexist, fascist. 50 percent of America supports you.
If you are on the right, cancelling one is rarely acceptable, since half the people of your side whine "You wouldn't like it if it was you. / Don't become like them". 25 percent of America supports you.

There's a movie, I forget which one, where the protagonist does a suicide run to assassinate a crooked politician who was guaranteed to win. The protagonist does not succeed in killing him, but the politician grabs a baby and hides behind it, destroying his political career. That left holes in the perimeter that the shooter exploited, he wandered around for 20 minutes as the local cops tried and failed to get the SS to take anything seriously, the shooter found the ladder and unguarded roof and took advantage of the opportunity.

It wasn't the bureaucrats trying to get Trump shot, giving him a lousy security detail was just meant as an insult. Those types are nothing but passive aggressive cunts at heart. They gave him a bunch of donut chewing female agents from the counterfeit division who have never done guard duty in their careers, because they found it funny. A little extra insult directed at Trump.

They probably hoped in the back of their minds that someone would rush the stage again, like in 2016, or maybe even worse, but they never actually dreamed something like this would happen.

Then the shooting happens, and suddenly the little game isn't funny anymore. Heads will roll, people will be fired, some as scapegoats, but this happening at all makes it too glaringly obvious how weak and pathetic the SS has become, and raises the risk of future shooters on everyone, not just Trump.

Their incompetence and power games have revealed to the whole planet that some 20 year old loser with a cheap rifle can almost kill the Once and Future President, now we're going to get copycats going after senators and governors and everyone.

Congress critters cowered under their desks from a few rowdy grandmothers marching into the Capital building, imagine how terrified they are right now, realizing finally how little their security detail actually matters.

That's why now Trump's security detail is 20 six-foot-four dudes who haven't smiled in a decade, and not one five-foot-nothing chick to be found.

The reason I'm certain that they didn't intentionally set this up to get him killed is because the time for that was months ago, not now. Not two weeks after two dozen Democrat politicians burn through political capital attacking their own President. Not days after Obama uses his celebrity surrogates to attack Biden. They were still on their "we'll just shout Project 2025 endlessly" plan, and were on the verge of finally pushing Biden out, and probably installing Whitmer as the candidate.

Then the shooting happens, Trump comes out looking stronger than ever, and even the Redditors are throwing in the towel. The Dems totally dropped replacing Biden, why bother at this point? None of this feels like part of a plan, a plan would have some sort of contingency for if the shooter gets caught or misses, or gets taken out by a local cop.

If this was a conspiracy, then it wasn't one set up by the Administration or the Democrats, but some other faction.

I... can kind of see that assumption. Trump does have a lot of blowhard rhetoric and when in office, had limited powers in every thing BUT foreign affairs. They still ignored the reason why he couldn't do much was because of their bureaucratic actions, but I can see why they thought he was actually ineffectual.

I wish I could find a good source, but the growing denominations are Pentecostals and Non-Denoms (it's a mixed bag across Evangelicalism but e.g. the SBC is, as I recall, treading water). Evangelicals are also the major beneficiaries of inter-denominational conversions. The other denominations I listed are actively dying and/or replacing American adherents with non-native ones.
