I feel like the bombs would have been set on some kind of a timer then, because he would have had to know it was a suicide run. Either you set off your bombs before/simultaneously, or you set them up to explode later, because you know you won't live to press the button. But then again, he was stupid and his plan was so stupid it should never have even slightly come close to working, so.

There's honestly fuck all info out there about him.

That's because they did a good job this time scrubbing anything they could before releasing his name.

You don't even have to buy into any conspiracy to understand why they would do that. This is a very sensitive and high profile case. They don't want to take any chances with info about his life being potentially used to spark some kind of violent conflict or retaliation. Say the guy was a big supporter of a specific politician on his social media accounts, for example.

Or maybe there could be information about who actually orchestrated and got the shooter into this, and they didn't want the culprit to get tipped off by internet theories, before they could do their own investigation.

But if you want to believe some three letter agency was behind it all along, then the explanation is obviously more straight forward.

It's probably dumb to take Alex Jones too seriously, but I just don't buy the idea of the Feds bringing in car bombs and poisoning Trump's food and shit.

A lone gunman provides plenty of plausible deniability - you start doing shit that requires a lot of coordination and money and that goes away really fast. The deep state may be powerful, but they're not powerful enough to start openly assassinating politicians with impunity.

The events of the past week have been the most surreal, amazing, mindblowing I have seen in my lifetime far surpassing things like nine eleven and covid. I would hope this is the high water mark at least for a while but deep down I think we all know it isn't. It seems like the assassination attempt kicked off an accelerated series further unprecedented events. I just hope there is no more violence.

As far as I know, the remote detonator thing is new, but the bombs in his car were reported the day of and resulted in a bomb squad being called. Bombs being present seems to be genuine enough, given local PD were not apparently in on whatever tomfoolery was going on.

Reminder that Alex Jones gets away with saying things that are right often enough that he should have long ago been killed because he sprinkles in just enough insanity that he can be discredited despite every time he gets something right. Years ago he described Icke doing the same thing. The way he put it was that Icke has a punch full of good information and he ruins it by dropping in a turd in the punch (the reptilian theory). Alex just uses absolutely over the top theories to disguise whatever actual inside info he gets. (although this is likely not the thread for it, it's very telling that of every insane thing he said, they suddenly slapped him with an insane and unreasonable penalty for the Sandy Hook thing. Probably because he came too close to revealing they stage and/or purposefully allow school shootings to push gun control). You just have to learn how to sift through Alex's purposefully insane rambling and showmanship to try to listen to his actual info.

Except that THIS particular politician (Trump) is a real threat to much of the Deep State’s continued existence if he gets into office. He has promised to considerably shrink the federal workforce and he will definitely be booting out of office the heads of the FBI, Secret Service, and CIA.

i would expect the local police to assume any bags or packages in his car to be potential bombs and the bomb squad to investigate it. that doesn't mean that there were any explosives in his car. i'm not trying to pilpul here, i'm just pointing out that there's a lot of assumptions being made based on information presented through unverified but 'trustworthy' sources that very likely have an ulterior motive to manipulate our perception of what happened

Devils advocate on the sloped roof: I think what the director meant was that if there was a choice between the sloped roof and the window and you can still see where you need to see for the mission, the window is preferred. The other sniper position didn't have the option, so they stayed on the roof. That's fine, you just still need to guard from SOMEONE ELSE getting on the roof. You should have had that either way because the snipers aren't going to be paying much attention to their rears.
