Outside of the Israel stuff (I'm not really anti-semitic, but why are Israel's territorial disputes an American problem?), the RNC has been the polar opposite. It's all lefty hate all the way down. I imagine the script for this convention changed about 2 nanoseconds after some lefty zoomer decided to assassinate Trump and honestly, almost succeed. We were very close to Trump becoming a martyr and who knows what would have happened afterwards. It's scary to think about.
If they get Biden to step down, this is going to be a replay of "Hate in '68". You've got Kamala Harris, who has a lower popularity than some STD's and she's going to be going up against an establishment pick and whatever crazies jump in from the progressive side. It's going to be a complete clusterfuck.

The generally have their preplanned word of the day ready to go before the speech is even given. I think it was in 2016 when Trump gave his speech and within minutes you had every major newpaper, website, and talking head using the word "dark". That was the pre planned theme they were going to describe his speech no matter what was in it. Likewise tonight and tomorrow the watchword of the day will be "boring" precisely because they want to discourage as many working people that don't pay general attention to politics from deciding to listen to it out of curiosity and hear him railing on the DC criminals. Wouldn't surprise me if that is the preplanned response to Trump's speech tomorrow as well.
"Wow that was so boring, you definitely don't need to watch or listen to it, nothing to see here at all". If you can't spin it as a negative, the next best thing is to try and at least limit the number of eyeballs it gets.

All of the professionals I have know, will shoot everything in bursts. Most consumer cameras provide at least 30fps burst image capture. Burst speed is generally limited by storage write speed. With modern mirrorless cameras, the shutter speed more is used to control light exposure. Anyone who knows better and acts like 1/8000 is unreasonable on a sunny day is a mongoloid.
For the math autists out there, you could probably get a reasonable estimate of the shutter speed using the length of the bullet smear on the image and the speed of a 5.56 at 150 yards.

But yes, very clearly there is a new GOP identity forming that will have staying power beyond the person of Trump. A genuine move to flank the Dems from the left and become the working man's party. That happened in 2010 with the Tea Party class, and in 2018 with the MAGA class. Some of those previous insurgents are the ones Trump is now sweeping aside.
I'm not a doomer or pessimist on this, but I'm forced into a when-I-see-it cautious optimism. The GOP has been having primary fights for over a decade now. Maybe 2024 is the turning point for total party takeover, but I'm not calling it beforehand.
