See, the comparisons there are only surface level.
Courtney uses her BPD as an excuse to act like the asshole she always was, but Poppy is possessed of a very odd level of doom and gloom about her own condition, despite it being easy to treat and those two aren't the same thing. Courtney is dishonest while Poppy is sincere but horribly wrong.
Courtney is immature because she stunted her emotional development on attention seeking stunts and never really had the chance to grow as a person, and her immaturity is born of a profound rage that the rest of the family is (mostly) healed and moved on without her.
Poppy on the other hand isn't so much immature as she does espouse a lot of beliefs about relationships and sex that are just childish in general, but sincerely held. Anyone who thinks puritanism is on the rise isn't particularly well versed in sex or sexual politics. Anyone who goes "You can't control intrusive thoughts, therefore you should let them run roughshod throughout your head with no pushback" is just naive in general.
With Courtney, the "look what you made me do" routine is something she's been pulling for years, and it's a rather classic abuser tactic. But with Poppy I believe it's a genuinely held belief, as her splits on people so often revolve around percieved slights (being blocked on Twitter, being broken up with, etc) and it's only amplified by her insistence on making sex her entire identity.
Meanwhile Courtney's fleecing people for money is another thing she's always done. She fleeced our parents until they cut her off, fleeced our extended family until they cut her off, and one of my many theories as to why she tried to get in contact with me was because she wanted to fleece me for money thinking I was an easy target as because Courtney hasn't grown or developed as a person she must have believed I was still affected by a 15 year old trauma bond.
Though that's one of several theories.
Poppy on the other hand is clearly trying to establish herself in a new community, and 90% of influence in the furry community is "having the cash to pay artists to put up with you."
The reason Courtney has a sadistic streak while Poppy doesn't is because Courtney is an abuser, while Poppy is a mess. Poppy's beliefs are held sincerely. She's wrong about most things, but I wouldn't call her a liar. She exists in her own reality and refuses to emotionally regulate so she takes a small thread of offense and runs with it instead of stopping and using evidence based reasoning.
I'd call Poppy a lot of things, but malicious isn't one of them.
All that having been said, the reason Courtney doesn't get along with her is because she and Poppy both wanted to be "in charge."

Someone did respond to her criticisms without getting pissed at how wrong she was. It was Hiding in Private's Lily Orchard Was Wrong and Here's Why, and they handled it with a lot more patience and took Lily's bad faith arguments seriously and easily argued against them. The only section not argued against was the racism segment that Lily herself said she no longer stood by, so it was pointless to refute it, and would you look at that, guess who got accused of silencing the one article Lily sourced in her argument about how racist Rebecca Sugar was.

The thing is she never even watched it, she just got angry at it for someone disagreeing with her, and then proceeded to cry about how racist HiP was for talking over poc voices. You know. The thing she does all the fucking time. But it's okay, because black people are so defenseless and we need this Canadian white woman who knows nothing about the nuance of black racism in America to step up and be our self-appointed spokesperson. Golly, racism has been cured, we did it! The white savior complex did it again! Hey, wait a minute...

In a lot of instances where someone tries to come at a take Lily has with a grain of salt, they end up getting so frustrated by her stupidity that it's impossible not to get angry. By that logic, Rebecca Sugar or Blizzard should definitely not take any of her criticisms seriously because she yelled and was far more aggressive than, say, Sai. Nobody is five, here, Lily.

And just what on earth has she improved on? Other than being more overtly obsessed with incest and not even taking minority voices into consideration anymore (or pretending to) so she can borrow us for an argument about fucking cartoons from over a decade ago? After they done with the starter pokemon list, Sketchy's ranking black sitcoms' theme songs.

She berates a friend for talking over Sketchy. The guy gets then talked over and ignored the whole conversation.

Lily states the importance of re-examining things you watched as a kid. She states that she clashes with other Youtubers because she's the only one who is criticising child show as being meantfor children and not for twenty-somethings, but shows are increasingly made for twenty-somethings.

Then they start talking about shows for preschoolers they like, afterwards about black hairstyles and how underutilised they are in media.

Sketchy, the only person tht makes the streams barable, leaves and Lily proceeds to complains how editing with a sunburn is a pain in the ass. She is very proud of walking the 6.5 km forth and back and records the update for her video.

She talks about the natural beauties of Nova Scotia and how much time she spent climbing three's as a kid.

I'm glad she enjoyed herself but at this point it's getting annoying how big a deal she makes of going out for once, I don't know how strong a reaction she is expcting here.

Bach to the recap, Lily and her friends play Mass Effect. Before that she shares that she noticed her launge clothes she wears at home to cut back on laubdry (she goes to a laundrymat), look exactly like Andy's from the incest game.

The friend that is not NoobLord makes a joke that Courtney looks too much like neon vomit to be Ashley and Lily berates him that this is videly inapropriate and only she is allowed to make jokes about her abuse. This puts her in a sour mood until the rest of the stream.

Lily, once again, is cultivating this low functioning golden horde where she is the great khan, the only one that can string a sentence together.

They're taking their opinions from someone who cuts out 90% of the video they're talking about. The whole "She didn't read the dialogue" comes from a bitchy reaction to one clip there I mash through the dialogue as fast as possible to make a point of how long it takes.
Everything else is ignored.
And the others didn't watch the full video, they're just regurgitating the things it says.

I'm not trans so I won't pretend I can fully relate to the experience of a trans person, but I do know that what trans people emphasize often is not misgendering someone just because you don't like them, it gives off the implication that being seen as your preferred gender is a right to earn if you're a nice person. So it just comes across as hilarious when Lily intentionally misgenders people she dislikes because this is an ideal heavily ingrained in the trans community as "Hey, don't do this shitty thing". It's twice as funny when it's a trans person she's doing it to.

If someone called her an it you'd best believe that she would raise hell. But seeing as she sees her critics as less than human then it's fair game for her. It's a little mind-boggling how little she actually cares for the trans community. I know she has no regard for literally any community given the way she hates women like a cis man would but goddamn.

She never reviews shows or videogames with trans characters, she has never talked about a show or videogame made by a trans person. Lily has seen Steven Universe and She-Ra, but both the creators came out as non binary after the shows ended so it doesn't really count, plus she hates both shows with a passion. Asides from trans people she hates every show known for having any kind of LGBT representation (TOH, SU, Amphibia, pretty sure she bashed Molly McGee and Moongirl because they turned too serious) except for HH (and she only liked HH because it was getting critics and she is a contrarian).

She presents herself as the most politically correct person ever, the most progressive, the most right in what looks almost like a parody of the SJW archetype, (she doesn't even say the...Q slur... because is so ofensive and if you don't see that the fuck you), but the truth is she has done NOTHING for the LBGT community. Even Hbomberguy, who isn't mentioning the fact he is bi every 5 seconds like Lily, did the whole video on James Somerton, gave a shout out to like a hundred queer creators with less subscribers than him and tried to find every writer Somerton copied.

She also, of course, loves her conservative brother very much, because he doesn't misgender her in front of his kids. He is actually suuuper progressive, you just don't see it. And also Republicans don't exist in Canada and they totally don't target trans people.
