Star Wars Acolyte is the first series where I've watched all the episodes not by watching it, but by watching someone else's review of each episode (Critical Drinker). I'm glad Star Wars Acolyte exists because we got things like "Discount Ezra Miller to Premium Ezra Miller," Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration Osha, and Lesbian "writing what she knows" Headlamp.
The Star Wars goyslop fans cope by saying "You should watch all the episodes and make up your own mind instead of just parroting right-wing grifters like Critical Drinker" and to that I say:
1) Nice try faggot. I'm not going to contribute to the "minutes watched" stat which only helps Disney Marketing. I'm not even going to pirate it.
2) Even if we assume that reviewers like Critical Drinker are being 100% uncharitable and bad faith in their reviews, Acolyte still looks and sounds like shit and I don't see any compelling reason to watch it, regardless of what right-wing nazi Chuds say.
I saw this in a YouTube comment so I'll steal it a bit, but how about a revenge arc for Sol?
Instead of Sol dying from a force choke, he regains consciousness shortly after when his throat is healed after his Force Healing perk kicks in. After his near death experience and presumed dead by the galaxy, he becomes a morally gray, lawful neutral executioner Jedi seeking vengeance to those who wronged him. Similar to the bride from Kill Bill or V from V for Vendetta, both who nearly died and both on a path of revenge. And similar to Rorschach from The Watchmen, he documents everything in a data disc, should he die in his attempt, the truth will be revealed to all the galaxies (eg the Sith are an evil mind-controlling suicidal lesbian cult that are not above using children as human shields like Hamas, and the top brass in the Jedi are corrupt people who value control and the narrative over the truth).
This is approach is good for 3 reasons:
1) While Sol is arguably now an anti-hero, the audience sympathizes with him because he used to be lawful good in season 1 and because both the evil Sith and the evil Jedi elite were willing to throw him under the bus and we want to see evil people get what they deserve (see next point).
2) The audience will enjoy Sol rightfully killing the evil twins, green "Lesbian Headlamp's wife IRL" Jedi woman who framed him, and the fucking furry merch faggot who deserves to die not just for sabotaging the ship but also for not serving any purpose in the story except to sell made-in-china merchandise that will end up in the bargain bin.
3) The physical and ideological rivalry continues between fan favorites Sol and Smilo Ren (like Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter).
