Why does fatrick larp as a conservative when all he does is repeat dnc talking points
1) As a kid, Pat idolized his conservative redneck father. (In a way I guess he still does.)
2) Somewhere along the way, Pat developed a deep-seated inferiority complex regarding his masculinity. Might be because of his small penis; might be because his younger brother eclipsed him in every way during their school years (academics, sport, popularity, etc). He associates Conservatism and his dad with the masculinity he craves.
3) But then as a teenager and young adult, Pat got most of his socialization from edgy Gen-Z atheist online forums, that were all about patting themselves on the ass for how "intelligent" they were unlike those "dumb ignorant" Christian rednecks. This forced Pat into cognitive dissonance, and he started looking for ways to square that circle. He settled on the cope that ackshually, the *real* Conservatives were atheists like him who side with the Neoliberal Left on every policy or value issue, but also personally like guns and being tough.
4) When his first wife cucked and dumped him, it broke his brain and his masculinity-complex went into overdrive. He reinvented himself around LARPing as tough guy on the Internet. His gimmick of "reclaiming" the label Conservative for shitlibs like himself kept occasionally reappearing in Twitter arguments.
5) In 2016, this gimmick provided him with the golden opportunity to make it big on shitlib twitter, and he took it.
Hundreds of thousands of TDS-sufferers were suddenly craving for a "Conservative" to tell them:
"See, even *I*, as a Conservative, denounce Trump and am here to tell you how wise and correct you libs are about everything!"
Patrick was not the only person providing this service, but he did his best to be the most aggressive and histrionic of the lot. He was rewarded with a large following that made his tweets go viral, which pushed his narcissism and delusions of grandeur to new extremes.
6) There was obviously an element of cynical opportunism and fame-seeking to is. Many of his tweets tagging DNC and media accounts read like attempts to audition for the role of the next Morning Joe: A token "Conservative" media personality that is sure not to hurt any leftist feelings. Alas, no organization chose to draft Pat for such a role.
