In Meltdown 3, Boogie is reading donations and a fan says "I think Boogie was verbally told he had PV, but the doctor didn't put it in the charts." He says "that's true." But then later tells Destiny a sleep doctor told him he had PV from reading his charts (therefore the first doctor put it in). And he said the sleep doctor said "so we are treating your PV" and he said "the what now??" as if it was the first time he heard it..? Therefore implying his doctor put it in the charts, but did not tell him?

boogie is extremely short-sighted with most of his lies. he says whatever he feels he needs to say in the heat of the moment to weasel out of a confrontation, but then later on will spin up new lies to combat new confrontations with zero regards to what he's said previously. in this case, he picked up on the donation message defending him so he simply agreed with the message since in the moment, that's what made him look the best. "see everyone, this guy gets it! my doctor told me I had PV but he never put it in my chart!" he's contradicted this multiple times, given his claim that he heard polycythemia vera for the first time from his sleep doctor, as you pointed out, and how he later clarified he was only told he "probably" has cancer (which itself was another lie)

the way he responded to that donation message reminded me of what he did while wings was trying to explain his understanding of boogie's "cancer" scenario:

what wings is saying doesn't even make any fucking sense. "he was worried that because of sleep apnea, he had a higher red blood cell count, and he didn't want to rule that out without doing extra tests, like the blood markers and bone marrow test." why would the doctor be hesitant to rule out a condition that is far more likely given boogie's risk factors (sleep apnea) without testing for something that is far less likely (a rare blood cancer) first? even though wings is spewing complete nonsense and has no idea what he's talking about, boogie just sits there, "yup", "yup", "yuuuuuuup" because he can sense that wings is trying to provide credibility to his story, and he thinks it makes him look better if he mindlessly agrees with the guy trying to defend him, regardless if the defense is true or credible.

While I mostly agree with your assessment otherwise, we have no direct evidence for this when it comes to Dezi specifically other than Boogie's previous history. He loves to try and use unproven claims like this to smear/discredit everything that gets posted here.

No. That isn't how it works. My grandfather actually had PV, and they don't do all of these sleep studies and shit to diagnose it, they just did a genetic test and called him back in and said "yeah you have the JAK2 mutation which causes PV." The only time someone would be referred for sleep studies and hormone panels and all that shit for polycythemia is for polycythemia secondary. Here is how polycythemia diagnosis works, I will give a breakdown:

1. Initial confirmation of polycythemia via observation of an abundance of RBCs
2. Genetic panel to test for a JAK2 mutation
3. If JAK2 panel is positive, PV diagnosis is confirmed, begin treatment for PV
4. If JAK2 panel is negative, order testing to determine cause of secondary polycythemia , to include sleep studies and hormone panels. Begin treatment for secondary polycythemia.

So even before he was referred to the sleep doc, he already knew he didn't have cancer. I want to be very clear, that Boogie was aware he didn't have cancer this entire time, and was banking on people's ignorance and goodwill to not challenge a cancer diagnosis to get away with his scam.

I was going to say, you need to have the Jak gene. Jak inhibitors work to help lower rbc counts

I also want to add something on topic to the cancer stuff: Boogie said that he is "already a cancer survivor," because he had a basal cell carcinoma. I want to be very clear: that's fucking horseshit. I've had a basal cell carcinoma, and at no point since having it removed have I considered myself a "cancer survivor." You know what they did to "treat the cancer?" they fucking froze it off with a cryo gun, the thing they normally use for warts and skin tags.

He's probably lying about it anyway, which is ridiculous. You know what causes a BCC? Intense sun exposure, mainly seen on people like construction workers and farm hands. Does Boogie get the same amount of repeated and intense sun exposure as either of those groups? It would also be in his chart. It would show up as "Basal Cell Carcinoma -- In office outpatient cryotherapy (or surgical excision) with metastatic workup, 8 week follow up." He would also have a scar, a nice, pink, circular smooth spot between dime and quarter size. Until he shows that, I call total fucking bullshit on his skin cancer claim as well

Even if he did have a basal cell carcinoma, it has a 5 year survival rate of over 98%, and most of that 2% leftover is death from natural causes other than cancer. Adjusted for natural causes, BCC's survival rate is closer to 99.8%. That fat fuck is honestly a sack of shit for even trying to claim "cancer survivor" from a BCC even if he did have a BCC.
