Agreed. It's a BPD thing to pretend or fantasize about relationships with real people being far closer and more intimate than they are, up to the point of near total fabrication. If I had to speculate, she was probably semi-friendly to Boogie (or at least didn't bully him), he got ideas and made sexual overtures or otherwise got creepy towards her, and she nicely but firmly shut it down hard. This would explain why he would be thinking of her like that in the first place, but also why he has enough legitimate resentment and virgin rage to say "fuck her, she died of double cancer" or whatever it was.
