I just don't see how Koomala has any appeal outside of diehard leftists who are never voting for trump anyway. Her career is mostly in Commiefornia and most of that is in the most libtard part of the most libtard state in the nation. Since Dims have such a lock over there she's essentially a nepo appointed up the ladder. A Hillary with even more smug and even less appeal and less tested with normal people. Biden at least presenility was a far more suitable nationwide candidate. Koomala where she is known is also much more heavily associated with the culture war fanatic wing of the Dims that turns off a lot of normies.

If she is nommed I'm guessing on some ridiculously white bread honky man as veep.

If the Trump campaign is smart they'd start running ads about poop filled streets.

I took a look, just to doublecheck, and had the Brave AI sum it up for me...

When a president undergoes surgery requiring anesthesia, the 25th Amendment to the US Constitution is invoked to ensure continuity of government. The amendment provides a clear protocol for temporary transfer of power to the Vice President.

Historical Examples

  1. Ronald Reagan (1985): Before undergoing surgery for colon cancer, Reagan signed a letter transferring presidential powers to Vice President George H.W. Bush. Bush became Acting President while Reagan was under anesthesia, and resumed duties after the surgery was completed.
  2. George W. Bush (2002 and 2007): Bush invoked Section 3 of the 25th Amendment twice, temporarily transferring power to Vice President Dick Cheney, during colonoscopies.
Procedure

  1. The President signs a letter informing the Senate President Pro Tempore and the House Speaker of their intention to undergo surgery requiring anesthesia.
  2. The Vice President assumes the powers and duties of the President, becoming Acting President.
  3. The Acting President performs presidential duties until the President is able to resume their duties, which typically occurs after the surgery and anesthesia wear off.
Note: The 25th Amendment’s Section 4 allows the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet to declare the President unfit to serve, but this has not been invoked in any presidential surgery scenario to date.

So... Biden is at Delaware, he can't perform ANY of his duties, but they aren't doublechecking?

He's either a vegetable or fucking dead.

He dropped out because it's going to look really obvious when his enfeebled ass doesn't get anywhere near 81 million votes this time that they cheated the last time.

At least with a new candidate they can try and argue she just wasn't as popular as the old one
I think it's partially that, and more that the Democrat leadership has accepted that they're 100% fucked as far as the presidency goes, and may as well mitigate the damage that association with Joe is going to have down-ballot. If it wasn't for the attempt on Trump's life giving him this unbelievable boost in energy and momentum, I think they would've just stuck it out with Biden. It's the only sensible reason to have him stand down now, outside of being straight-up incapacitated.

Once the libs are done coping and screeching about a second Trump presidency, they're going to turn their ire to the rest of the party that knew Biden was too old and too fucked up to run. This is a combination of triage and rats fleeing a sinking ship.

You know, some people are pointing out that Biden's statement didn't have the White House seal on it.

Make of this what you will, but people are noticing and speculating.

And that is an update from today. I am going to join the skeptics about the legitamacy of the tweet where he stepped down. You'd think they would post the letter here on whitehouse.gov, right?
As it being a purely campaign-related announcement, I think using official WH stationary would be illegal. But I noticed it wasn't on campaign letterhead, buttressing the notion that his campaign staff was left on the outside.

The new narrative on Reddit is that Trump is the oldest nominee ever now and that's hypocrisy because the Republicans previously said Joe wasn't fit to run because he was clearly addled by age.

These people are fucking pathetic. Harris hasn't a fucking hope of winning but i'm sure her utter failure will be chalked up to racism. A detestable hyena of a woman who has done fuck all as VP.

It's not just reddit. I'm seeing it on Twitter to. I'm seeing claims that Trump is going senile

Tammy Baldwin is barely even from Wisconsin. She has an 11 million dollar penthouse in NYC where spends 99% of her time, she even files her re election paperwork remotely from New York.

She comes to Madison every three or four years to scream about abortion then fucks off to collect more gift money.

We can't get rid of her because Dane and Milwaukee counties are 99% blue.

She's perfect for Harris.
