I don't believe that they're going to kill Biden. It doesn't serve them any purpose. They can just say he resigned and then not let him on TV. After the next president is sworn in they can let Biden either die or appear on TV and if he claims they made him do it/lied they can pull the dementia card then.

I don't think they want Biden dead or removed by the 25th amendment, because while that would briefly make Kamala president (which would ONLY hurt her numbers) it would also give the senate and house control over the VP pick. Anyone Kamala picks will have to be approved by both the house and the senate, while the speaker of the house takes the position of VP as far as succession goes. If Biden is alive and competent and Kamala is only a nominee then she gets to pick her VP with no say from congress. If they plan to cheat her into winning then they don't want any dirty reds having any say in the VP pick. If they don't plan to cheat to make her win then there's no point in forcing Biden out of office anyway.

His "signature," besides when he's sitting in front if 30 people symbolically signing a bill with 10 gold pens, is probably autosigned all the time. He doesn't have to scrawl it on a piece of paper to make a document legal, any more than he had to compose that letter himself. Some aides wrote it, they show it to him, he says it's OK, and his signature is pasted in.

@errforceonezz the chomo joe vs TRUMP polling isn't irrelevant, it functions as a decent baseline upon which Kamala may either

-overperform (likely only a bit; I have a hard time seeing her do much better than chomo joe - she's tied to 'his' administration, it's been the "Biden-Harris" ticket and the "Biden-Harris" administration for years)

-or even underperform (personally I think Kamala isn't quite as weak a candidate as many on the Right reflexively portray her to be, but she definitely still is a weak candidate)

Most Biden voters are just anti-Trump voters, so I wouldn't expect significant drops. Remember, Joe came out comatose to a debate and only lost 2 pts. in the polls. Factoring in Kamala's unlikeability and relative age, I predict the polls will see an initial dip, but then stabilize at around -1.0 after the Democratic convention once everyone endorses her and they get their messaging straight.

And there's the rub. The Democrats are in a Democrat controlled city. The control cables run straight from Cook County to Washington, DC, with the signals moving exclusively one way. Riots, crime, etc.? Those are permitted except during holy week. The cops in Chicago will be given unfettered permission to move without hesitation against anyone fomenting unrest. There will be no '68 riots, no George Floyd "Mostly Peaceful" protests. The anti-American intifada that has been going on? That'll be snuffed out the minute any green black and red banner is raised and even if those types get something going the press will not report on it.

They have to get Kamala crowned. They have to. So they'll unmask and go full authoritarian for this, I guarantee it.

Look in a normal world Trump will kick ass but Republicans cannot be complacent. They need to have poll watchers with every precaution known to man and fully prepared to pull all nighters. Print out your legal documents , have a mask if they say there's a gas leak, get lawyers on call. Make connections with law enforcement. Anything and everything to counter the bullshit fortifying to come. It's gonna be bumpy but this may be one of the most important elections in american history.

Why does all the crazy political shit happen when I'm either unable to access the farms or when I forget to check the farms? I go on a trip, Trump gets shot. I forget to pull up the farms for 2 days, Biden drops out.

Also my area somehow accepts school ID's as an acceptable form of voter identification. How does that stop someone on a education visa from voting then? School ID's are given to everyone. Did I just uncover a loophole for voter fraud? (Probably not but it's crazy to think about)

I would. Delaying the announcement of Biden's death for a few days does nothing for them: no matter what, until Kamala either loses the election or is formally inaugurated in January, if Biden is dead they lose the ability to freely pick their VP (she can nominate one, but congress gets final decision). They have no other benefit for hiding Biden's death, as Kamala being forced to take his place after a sudden tragic death could give a boost of sympathy from voters and excuse any stupid and unpleasant things she does for a while.

And they can't dare risk keeping Biden's death a secret for 4-6 months. As I've said multiple times, this is mega ultra illegal. It would fit the description of seditious conduct.

A list of crimes they would be committing if they hid Biden's death include (just from a casual glance):

and probably more than this. Yes, they've assassinated presidents in the past, but that's different. That's a one-and-done thing they use a patsy to take the fall for. Pretending Biden is alive and impersonating him for months to subvert the election and the process of succession is a whole new ballgame. There'd be a smoking crater left behind of them when it eventually came out (and it would).

I believe that these upcoming hearings were the final straw that made Biden drop out. Seriously you don't have to believe a single conspiracy theory; "Matthew Crooks was a lone gunman, no he was not an MKUltra recipient or patsy. It was just a fluke."

Even with that it was still a monumental failure and the blame lies solely on Secret Service, part of Biden's administration. Trump would have successfully used it to argue that the government is mismanaged. "If they couldn't secure a rally how can you expect this admin to protect your backyard?"

With Kamala taking control it's a desperate pivot, "Kamala was just the Vice President so it's not her fault, and with this girlboss in charge things are going to work right." Yeah it doesn't work at all. I don't see what they can do to restore faith in this administration. Are they going to trot out Liz Cheney to cry about MUH JAN 6 for the millionth time?

They need a campaign rhetoric that serves as a full reboot of the narrative. But how can you do that when it's the VP of the incumbent? I also think it's nothing more than wishful thinking that the campaign donation stream is going to pour out again because Biden dropped out.

I'm going to laugh my ass off if they seriously to make Trump's age a factor. You cannot sweep for Biden for 4 years and then pretend you're worried that the next President is too old for the job.
