But there is no deadline or remedy in the 25th Amendment for not affirming a VP. The Pres could submit names that won't be confirmed. Besides, Congress is out campaigning for their own re-elections and have no interest being stuck in DC for confirmation hearings and all that vote bullshit. It would take weeks.

The only thing Congress can do is impeach a President Kamala and install Speaker Johnson for 5 months thus losing another R in the House. I suppose that's possible if she wins and still doesn't submit a name although I'm not sure why she wouldn't just submit her VP candidate (the VP-elect) at that point.

That is an interesting puzzle though since an impeached and removed Pres can't be President again. Totally uncharted territory if she became Pres before the election, proceeds to win the election and then got impeached/removed without a VP prior to the inauguration. Iguess we'd have a Pres Johnson for 4+ years?

Mike Johnson is running unopposed by the way, the Dems didn't even bother putting a candidate up against him. He'd have to resign from Congress to take the temp Pres gig.

I think reparations are a no go outside of the proggie infested coasts and the Dems have those on lock down anyway so there is no need to risk antagonizing whitey any more then they already have with this swaperino.

Nah, Harris will have to run fairly center as she's already pretty damn progressive. No matter how much the Dems hate em the white male votes are still necessary. They can't yet win on proggie and minorities alone.

I’m not so sure about that. Has it been tested in court? For instance, does the federal government genuinely have the right to capture the facial images of American citizens, analyze facial features, identify the people in those images, and then store all of that information in government databases without any consent from those people? Who has access to those databases? How is that information made secure from hackers or other nefarious actors? Who has oversight of that very personal information? What is that information being used for? Are the security services required to get a warrant to access that information?

Does the federal government have the right to take your picture? Yes. Yes they do. It's not at all controversial (legally).

In most if not all places the feds can have an unmarked van parked outside your house 24/7 for the rest of your life, looking essentially through your walls with a high resolution thermal imaging device that lets them see where you are. They can dig through your trash. They can make your life hell if they want to because most Americans regularly break minor laws or at least civil restrictions on a very consistent basis.

Now will they do that to you? Probably not. Do I think it's moral? Absolutely not.

Can they do it? Yes and I don't see them stopping. They already have a copy of your complete facial biometrics if you have any semblance of a normal life. Do you have an ID? A Driver's liscence? A passport? Many different specific licensures?

Well there's a reason they have very specific guidelines of that front on at X distance from Y angle shot they use. It's because they immediately load your biometrics into their facial ID database. You're already in the system unless you're a NEET who can't drive and has never gotten any kind of licensure.

Will this information leak? Oh don't worry it already has. It will again in the future. This is the government we're talking about. As for who has access you have law enforcement at least at the FBI level, I'm sure most people in homeland security have some kind of access. Other branches can certainly have those agencies run a face for them. Big brother is pervasive.
