There was both very funny and actually somewhat sweet video a while back of a guy having a seizure while playing VRChat. There is an open secret that has been around for ages that the former COO of the company "Ron" used to turn invisible and go in to random peoples worlds where they were having ERP. There is no concrete evidence of this but I have been told this by so many people on so many diffrent times that are not connected it is most likely true but take it with a grain of salt. If you ask around enough there might be people with proof, but it is so long ago I doubt it.
Another fact about the man is that he used to work for Blizzard and voiced a bunch of random characters in WC3 such as the Pesant and Peopn (the "work work" guy).

As long as your friend is not a no life player of the game and hangs in nightclub worlds or have full body tracking it should be fine.
I still go on once in a while to talk with some people I met on there (usually 3d modelers, programmers and such) and have cut contact with some as well who kept falling down the rabbit hole, as soon as they get full body tracking it is only a matter of time before they become a tranny/femboy or some other degenerate.
Like most things in life there are good people and bad people in everything, VRC is just HEAVILY skewed towards the bad people part.

A random thing I rememberd as well that is not worth making a whole post about is that around 2018 or so they banned people who used pepe emotes in their disocrd and I belive pepe avatars in game, this was around the time ADL listed it as a hate symbol and that was their reason for not allowing it.

For those unfamiliar with VRChat Rippers, it's been a persistent issue that the developers have only recently started addressing. When you view another player's avatar in VRChat, the game downloads a full copy of their model, scripts, etc, and stores it in an encrypted cache folder on your computer. Rippers exploit this by accessing the encrypted folder, extracting the avatar files, and repurposing them for their own use. Some people have attempted to resell stolen avatars, while others have engaged in gay-ops (eg using someone else's model to take inappropriate in-game photos to try and make the original owner look bad).

Anyways, VRChat users seriously thought it meant that any asset that included the word "rip" in the name or description meant they were about to get banned, so the devs had to clarify with another post a few hours later:

There are apparently multiple of these groups, but I have only had the unfortunate opportunity to poke around in one. At first, I thought, oh, it's like a haunted house? But then I thought "why does it need to be 18+?"

I then realized this is some twisted amalgamation between a haunted house and a public orgy.

This video claims that BrandonFM's video is bad because he didn't reach out to people who he exposed and also because he bitched about Lolis . Yes, he's one of those types who believe that jerking off to children is okay as long as it's drawn

In this thread, Krial claims that the evidence presented in the video comes from a 4chan schizo named Jelly, this claim however, isn't true in the slightest

Jelly is a complete schizo who's been spamming the same evidence of /vrg/ mods and players being pedos in hundreds of threads for years. The best comparison I can make is the infamous Marky posting on Sam Hyde
Due to this spamming, it's very common to see people accusing each other of being Jelly

The only interesting experience I remember having in VRChat was a couple of years ago, I joined some random server and I was immediately blocked by some random guy.

Said guy then ran up to me and starting doing random emotes in what I can only assume was some sort of sign language before eventually walking away. I dropped the game a while afterwards and I haven't played it since 2019. Look's like that was for the best.

@30+GameOvers, do you have any insight into the altchan pedos' interactions with VRChat?

I usually just lurk 8chan moe, and I don't see much discussion on video games there. They are very much behind the times when it comes to current events(unless they're political) and drama, they don't play much newer games either so I doubt a sizable portion of them has a VR headset. I assume it's a similar story for the other altchans, I know the likes of Mark Mann or Acidman certainly don't talk about VR much. For reference, there was a disastrous game chart that was being made(more on that in the 8chan thread) where moe users tried to put together a list of games for Japanese to play. They couldn't think of anything past 2015 and the only reason the chart continued was because the OP had an alog who kept bumping the thread and forced him to add newer titles(that sucked btw, I think one was just a Doom mod). If it's something newfangled that requires a VR headset then I doubt your average user there will care much about it, the whole reason many of these users are even staying there is because they're too stubborn to use discord, despite the Gamergate thread more or less just being a public discord server.
4chan is another story, they have a very sizable pedo population who are open about being pedos, so there is no doubt quite a few of them who have their own VRchat circlejerks where they try to groom and goon. /vg/ has a VR general, if it wasn't mentioned already I would start there, then move on to other more degenerate boards like /trash/ or /gif/. When researching altchans, I would stay away from videogame boards and look more into porn boards or ones with open pedophiles(like certain /b/ boards). 2chen above is a good example.

There are probably worse, but I would like to just feel uneasy instead of full on vomiting. The kinks seem to roll into literal insanity. Polycules, headmates, polycules where you have everyone act like you in some kink cult roleplay (That's basically what the zyntaks stuff is.)

All of this stuff feels familiar. I was in high school laughing at 2012-2016 tumblr and deviantart people.

But the thing was, it used to be confined to a very specific subset on a subset. Amateurish MSPaint drawings made by people so far on the spectrum that you couldn't even see it as a visible wavelength.

But now I look at this, and I have seen this stuff grow, in a very worrying way. Like the evolution of a horse drawn carriage into a Model T, I see the degeneracy of the internet evolving to be an even more efficient mind virus. These accounts having thousands of followers on a mainstream platform.

And I think I can see how this happened. The people in 2016 who saw fucked content on the internet growing into this, due to us basically cutting every support network we have for young people.

Where I am going with all of this, is that I worry about future growth. VR, the internet, all of it is still very young.

We already have a problem with people disconnecting from the real world for a pretend world on the internet. You would look in a mirror, see your own reflection, and that would ground you. You would talk to your friends, normal dudes who have to obey social norms, and that would ground you.

What happens to the world when a man looks in his reflection, and can choose to see a 8ft tall latex hermaphrodite skunk? What happens when he talks to his friends, and they are polyamorus drone-kink werewolf demi-women who are trying an identity play foot kink roleplay?

Even the most depraved vhs porn addict who lived in 1960 could not imagine in his head the depravity of a modern furry twitter account. Can we even conceive what it will be like for the degenerate mass in 20, 40 years?

I think the worst is, this steals things from people that they don't even realize. You can see how much work all this takes to make. How many life hours they don't get back from this. What if they used this for good? What if they talked to people, built things with their hands, tried to understand the world?

Scratch what I said earlier in the thread, this is a level of degeneracy I would have never expected.

Some tidbits that you may or may not know:
There's people who sell pre-made avatars at like 20-60 bucks a pop. These can include alternative versions or NSFW toggles, I've provided the first example I found but you can find plenty around. (Edit: nvm this is covered in the OP, i am retarded)
There's also people who sell custom made avatars for hundreds if not thousands of dollars.
There is good and easy money going around this circle however the company makes none of it and that is why they introduced their "creator economy" system.
This allows "creators" to paywall their ERP sesh or VIP rooms and whatnot, and it's still a work in progress. My bet is that they are eventually going to offer an avatar marketplace of sorts too in the future.

I will admit I am weirded out more by this vrchat shit than anything else on this website.
