I think everyone in power behind the scenes wanted him taken out. JFK had his speech on secret societies, rumors he wanted to dismantle the CIA, pushing back against Israel, the Mafia.... you'd have to figure out who didn't want him dead first.

My understanding was that his promise to dismantle the CIA wasn't real or was misinterpreted. Frankly my money is on the Israelis and or the Russians.

At this point I'm starting to think that the best thing for the Democratic party would be to take a massive L. Have them take a step back and look at all the reasons they fucked up that bad and reconsider some things. These narrow victories and losses the past few elections have gotten both sides content with their base and complacent. Their only hope is to reimagine what they're actually about and the only way that can happen is if they get hit hard enough. Really hard. I don't think it'll happen in this election though.

I genuinely think that the worst outcome for them is what seems likely. Trump winning in 2024. Trump should have won in 2020, and taken the hit for the inevitable inflation and hardship caused by the lockdowns. He would have continued to be a lame duck in office, with them halting every single little thing he would want to do. He wouldn't nearly be a martyr, of both political violence, and politically motivated legal battles. He would be out in 2024 and you would never hear about him again. He would be considered an average at best president, with the only notable thing being how he won in the first place.

But what they've done is united a very decent chunk of the right against them, shifted the lines in the sand on various demographics, and ruined the potential of a bunch of candidates. Biden takes the fall for the post-covid inflation (which, admittedly, he made worse), becomes a loser one term president, has caused or egged on conflicts we have no business in, causing derision in his party to the point where the golems of the DNC are looking to not vote all all to spite da jooz.

They made Trump angry, they made his supporters angry, and they made their own voters angry. They opened the eyes of countless people to the bullshit the media has been playing. They could've just let Trump win, pissed and whined about it, but came back with a real candidate that's not a fucking pod-person or a corpse in 2024. Come in and reverse anything he managed to get done. Bam.

They couldn't let Trump win, because they wanted to and craved to always keep control on public perception and the country's direction. So ultimately, following the line of thinking that the best thing they SHOULD have done was let Don take the W, they were kind of doomed from the start.

They let the Red team become the underdogs while they turned into a bunch of self-serving political brutes. And that's a complete reversal of the image they want to portray. Cognitive dissonance being more control lost as their public image worsens.

It really seems like they can't get most of their act together.

I’m no expert in how video can be altered, so I’ll let other judge that, he is clearly looking up, not just at the teleprompter but maybe at at least one person behind the screen. He just looks bewildered and lost. Very slight facial droop. Scooped hand position, apparent tremor that seems to be almost smoothed out by the video. So much makeup. The weird swallowing and ‘wet’ sound is something you see in dementia patients at the end. He doesn’t have long left.

I do not like Joe Biden at all, but I am horrified by how he’s being drugged up and used like this. He should be somewhere quiet and calm with end of life care, not being used as a meat puppet by whomever is really in charge of the white house. It’s very unpleasant to see.
