During a retraining that he requested, he had missed clearing out a trash can. The head custodian politely informed him that he had missed said trash can and asked him to go and empty it. Without any warning, Bren screamed "I know what the fuck I am doing" (his words). This was heard by the school nurse, the substitute secretary, and the actual secretary. This is even worse when we consider that this was while children
in Kindergarten and Pre-K were heading to lunch and were in earshot of him when he said this. Which is a major no-no, as it should be. I was not able to confirm that the teachers for both Pre-K and Kindergarten heard him say that, only that they had heard it from the head custodian. The secretary and nurse were able to confirm that this interaction did occur.
Even worse was that this was not his first time doing this. Some other stories like this I had heard include:
- He had got into a shouting match with the head custodian during first lunch where he proceeded to turn and leave not five minutes after clocking in for the day. I was able to see his car speeding off after this argument had occurred.
- He had yelled at the (former) Kindergarten teacher for her students eating on the carpet and making messes on the floor.
- The third-grade-teacher once "had to use her third-grade voice" to explain he couldn't get him some form of union paperwork in the timeframe he was asking for.
- He once scribbled "no smudging the mirror" on the boy's bathroom mirror in red marker because kids were smudging up the mirror and he got tired of getting called to clean it multiple times a day. He was forced to get rid of it by the principal.
- He would call the head of custodial and complained nearly every time the head custodian tried to offer correction, allegedly getting more and more irritated every time since no one did anything to the head custodian.
