I started medically transitioning again January 2023 after something like 4 years of detransitioning due to how afraid I was.

And things seem like they've gone to shit. My family don't accept me. The relationship I thought I would have had now is gone because I've lost all sexual desire. I've had to leave my Masters because I couldn't cope with the stress and anxiety of navigating all this as well as full-time study. I've lost so much weight from the stress of it all.

On the bright side, I got a retail job offer this week (gotta re--start somewhere) and I've a local trans community group that I'm a recurring feature of. Maybe it's not all bad?

I'm just feeling so lost. It feels like I've oh so gradually gone off the rails. I just wish I could know if things will settle down at some point or if I'm now trapped in a terminal decline. I'm 27, but I feel like I've absolutely fucked my life and can't see a way to success or happiness.

Can someone offer any advice? Or share their story?

A transplant- even if everything goes well and there's no dramas- knocks years off of your lifespan; a decade at least, iirc. Just like any other deep insult or ongoing poison, it damages your body permanently. A transplant gives you more years to live, but it won't give you back the lifespan you would have had if you hadn't suffered organ failure. And since you're on immunosuppressants, you're always at risk of getting taken out by an infection that a normal person can just shrug off.

None of this shit should ever be taken lightly. A transplant is the absolute last resort.
