I'm a woman, and throughout my adulthood, I've actually developed internalized misogyny because of how fucking dumb and self-absorbed women (on average) are especially when it comes to politics.

I had a friend who told me she'd have preferred it if women never got the vote. Not for the reason of any individual woman but for overall voting trends. She was getting close to externalising her misogyny at that point. Sucks to be atypical in your group sometimes. I think a big part of the problem is simply scaling. That sort of status quo policing can actually be beneficial to a group on a smaller scale. Stops everything fragmenting into in-fighting. Usually what matters less than whether Plan A or Plan B is better, is that you at least settle on one of them. But scale things up to the level of an entire society of hundreds of thousands and it moves from a stabilising force to a stifling one.

Republicans, specifically Trump, is never winning the black vote. It's impossible. LbJ was right and there are 40 more years till his promise is up.

That said, winning the black vote isn't the point. Dems need 90%+ of the black vote to win an election. No democrat has won the presidency without 90%+ of the black vote. In 2016 Trump got something are 12%, in 2020 it was 8%. Some of that is due to cheating. Trump is currently polling around 25% of the black vote. If it stays around that level there is no way he loses. That's the point of the continued outreach Trump is doing. Idk if that is the correct strategy but it's clearly one he's going for.

It's because it's part of a necessary societal and evolutionary function. Women are agents of change and as much as I hate their conformist behavior, the world can't exist without it. Change is an important element to keep society functional.

Yeah I think that’s true as well. When an old lion is getting unable to protect a pride the females will sometimes gang up and send him packing even though that means death to their current cubs. It’s an overall necessity for survival to have that change and strength. Again back to what’s best for the individual vs the group. We’ve lost that balance in modern life I think. Gone from repressing the individual to keep society on the straight and narrow to total individual hedonism and screw society. I don’t know where the sweet spot it tbh, we will have to find it to be stable again.

You see these putting short verbatim replies in all over, same wording, again and again but never engaging further. There are tiers of bots - something aiming to pass as human with arguing is far more sophisticated than is needed for many scenarios. Of all you need to do is spam ‘Kamala had nothing to do with the border’ then your bot or low paid flunky just needs a few different phrasing’s and to respond. Now if YOU were a bot arguing with me you’d need much nicer subroutines. Maybe I’m a bot, you never know

They do MLMs, sew, worry, and / or shag around. If this was a military wife thing you’d see it evenly spread wherever there are military wives, not concentrated in specific IPs. There are entire groups devoted to mass replies, targeted stuff and spamming comment threads and boards for multiple reasons. The uk has the 88th division or whatever they are and behavioural insights teams. This is all public record.

Yes. Definitely. But, I have had some really great female colleagues and currently have a female boss who is fab. I do find the general ‘tone’ of male environments better, but I must say that the female individual contributor types I work with just now have been superior at this company. The men tend to get promoted fast even if they’re useless, which is a bit hard to see, leaving the women at my level a mixed bag of useless and amazing, but generally mid career and competent. Open office all mixed in with HR stuff was the worst thing. Some shocking behaviour. Small mixed groups are fine, large ones less so.

Pretty much. Usually opens with a worried stance and a link to a minor media article .

Gauge replies, refine either policy, or more likely these days refine your arguments for it.
Over the next few days if the thread gains traction you’ll see another article in a bigger paper linked, with comments like ‘looks like it’s happening.’
