What is the opinion of our current counsel? I say "our" intentionally, because 1. I have significant interest in keeping the site up 2. Am a regular user of the site 3. Have donated money to the site and most of all 4. Am on that ride or die time. If you say it's war, then it's war, and I will dip into the war funds again for no other reason than to defend the site and her interests, even if I am not particularly invested in this specific fight. In short, I trust you, and unless you give me reason not to, I will back you to the hilt.

That being said, I would like to know the opinion of Hardin, beyond "don't volunteer to intervene in litigation." Does he think our intervention will result in a significant victory? Does he think it will drain our war chest or irreparably damage our ability to defend ourselves in the short to medium term?

If he wants to sue over content not being taken down, he has to do it himself, slave is not authorized to do it for him if I'm reading this correctly. Not sure how beneficial it can get to attack that settlement, sounds like somebody who will always find new ways to abuse courts. I know my post is inconclusive unhelpful mess but I need better understanding. I can't tell what we are losing with inaction, what we are possibly gaining with action. I'm not sure what kind of lawsuits are ahead of us and would interfering really stop them.

I didn't contribute to the fund so I don't have a say in this, but it doesn't feel like he's connected to the site at all (aside from the single DMCA).

It's unfortunate, but bad things happen to people every day. If you have a war chest dedicated to a specific legal reason, this seems like a quick way to lose it.

However, this seems like it will turn into a much bigger problem. If he continues to DMCA the site, then I think it should be used to stop him. During that, if possible, I think you should free this buck broken man.
