DC Comics Multimedia General - A crisis of infinite fuck ups

Them crediting Hamill doesn't really mean anything, he did MultiVersus recently too and sounded like his old self. The version in Crisis is very, very obviously not him. Even the excuse that some people make "he was trying to sound like his old self" doesn't hold much water considering the massive difference in voices to the extent where it sounds like either AI or someone doing a really bad impression of Hamill's Joker.
I don't think it was AI for either of them because AI is very noticeable in its vocal delivery and its hard to make it smooth. Like at best it would have to be a voice filter like how Disney does Vader's voice to make James Earl Jones sound younger.

I think Mark tried to put on an old voice for some reason but because he's old, it just didn't sound right. At worst, they probably got someone else for it.

Kevin though is definitely himself.

A bit off topic, but seeing this reminds me of the time they hilariously converted "Halo" into a non-binary muslim, for Young Justice season 3. As to rack up as many woke points as they could in 1 character.

Halo is an odd duck as the character's nature makes it so you can theoretically have the character work with any host in the hands of a decent writer.

But, Halo also really shines when she has a close friend like Katana from the OG series and that dynamic was a good one. Shame they couldn't think of how to implement this.

DC crossover with BeetleJuice to happen soon…

Of course Nightwing’s ass is the main feature. Does Dick have any other characteristics at this point?

they think it's funny because it's a horny joke.

mind you, if they did this to Power Girl's boobs, Twitter and the ADL would be all over it.

They credited Mark Hamill as the Joker. It sounded bad, don't get me wrong, but I don't believe it was AI. I think he's just old. Plus they had Kevin in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and that was 100% him. Also, apparently they've been working on these movies for a few years now, Kevin died in 2022. I'm more willing to bet they had those voice lines stashed away until the movies were ready.
It’s not uncommon for this to happen. Joe Zieja stated in his voice acting program that these voice recordings are stashed away for years before they’re released to the public.

There were like 800 or so voice actors in Red Dead Redemption II, and a few of them died years before the game came out.

Creature Commandos just dropped a trailer today. Looks okay for what it is, nice art style at the very least. I mostly just hate that this is how we start the universe, other than Peace Maker I guess.

This hipster shit looks so fucking gay.

Guess that’s why Gunn’s pushing it.

You'd think by this point in the DC universe, US law would have adapted to cover non-human sentients. Their most famous hero is a known alien. Superman couldn't be convicted of homicide if he killed someone? They'd just treat him as a runaway truck or something?

Also, after Gunn's Suicide Squad movie and the Peacemaker show (the latter of which I dropped out of and was so uninterested I didn't even do my usual OCD thing of looking up the plot of the rest of the season), I've little interested in this.

I think this trailer might have killed my interest in the show actually. It really doesn't feel like a beginning to the big DC film universe, it just looks like another generic animated DC property that uses Waller/Suicide Squad worldbuilding for the umpteenth time; and I actually really like Waller and Peacemaker but she gets used in everything these days: it doesn't feel special. Oh well. Looking forward to the showdown between Flag and Peacemaker, even though that event ruins the idea of the DCU being a full reboot.

I just hate Waller, she’s not Nick, she’ll never be Nick, Nick Fury is a gigachad American James Bond styled after two cultural icons.

Waller’s just a retarded fat bitch who has chess matches with autistic men, one in a bat costume, the other a bald man who seethes that a cool dude from Kansas is top-dog.

She looks like your average high school principal with slightly less sociopathy.
have you ever seen the Danny McBride show Vice Principals? him and walton goggins are vice principals and think one of them is going to get the promotion to principal and an amanda waller looking bitch gets it and they hate each other but decide to team up to murder her it's fucking hilarious.

Because she was:

She’s DC’s government person and one of the few prominent black women in comics. My biggest issue with Waller is how they have been pushing her to be some ultimate big bad, when I think her more nuanced take in the DCAU is the fan favorite version. I miss when she could be reasoned with rather than just some strong black women barking orders and being petty as hell.

Creature Commandos looks meh, could be good, or could be bad.

But I seriously want to know which guy in DC has been pushing for Suicide Squad stuff in the past 10 years, it feels like there is more content about the Squad than the Big Three Heroes in terms of adaptations and the like between 2014-now
