to add onto this, there are at least two likely possibilities

1. The Harris bump in the polling from the astoturfed positivity, continues and perhaps increases (!) during the Demofags' convention... but eventually goes down by the time late September rolls around

2. Even more pathetic for cacklin kamala - her bump fades before the Demofags' convention (possibly not even increasing during it). Keep in mind that during this bump she's still losing the electoral college to Trump and is losing the popular vote in multiple polls. Her best popular vote polls are around +2 at best, when in 2020 chomo joe's best popular vote polls were closer to +12.

*If* this is her peak, she's still losing because if she remains at the same position it'll still be a worse loss than 2016, and there's nowhere to go but down. cacklin kamala is therefore done for unless something very major changes.

5. I'm not even going to bother listing a decisive win for cacklin kamala as a possibility because that's basically impossible at this point.


my prediction right now: the bump fades before the DNC, returns during the DNC, fades again a couple weeks after the DNC, kamala goes on to do better in her first debate than chomo joe's June 27 debate performance (possibly enough for CNN's poll to have her be the 'winner') but it won't impact the race in a positive way for her, the constant negative attack ads and the bad publicity in a less-censored-than-2020 internet make her favorability rating (currently already terrible even at her potential 'peak') take a noticeable hit; she loses decisively on November 5, though not as badly as chomo joe would've done
