Skibidi Toilet - Skibidi wap-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa-pa

Did a little surface level digging and yep pretty much seems like that's exactly what is going on here.

Invisible Narratives LLC or INVIZ, the agency responsible for this DMCA, is a "independent Hollywood entertainment studio" that is working alongside Dafuqboom to expand the skibidi series into an official thing or at least that's what Washington post says.
Their *other* website (there are two for some reason?) pretty much confirms this in their about page.
And if you have any doubts that these guys are the real deal Dafuq's merch store is run by them

I imagine this is going to really sour their business relationship, what a bunch of retards.
Oh my god. I’m astounded by how out-of-touch or painfully stupid you’d have to be to do this.

Why am I not surprised that an independent investment company who thought it would be a good idea to adapt a movie around a fucking talking toilet is manned by retards?

Skibidi Toilet movie? Minecraft movie?
Please tell me that this is just some joke I don't get... please.
It is not, the Minecraft movie has been stuck in production hell for over a decade and only now is looking like it's coming out, and the skibidi toilet movie is being directed by Michael bay

All we need confirmation that it was pejet or DEI person for chef kiss for this huge mess due to dmca.

Let's take a moment to appreciate the fact that the fucking Skibidi Toilet thread has been featured.

Gen Alpha has arrived at the gates of the Kiwifarms. And they do so with copyright drama.

Glorious.
What are the children of men, but as leaves that drop at the winds breath.
Like the generations of leaves, the lives of mortal men. Now the wind scatters the old leaves across the earth, now the living timber bursts with the new buds and spring comes round again. And so with men: as one generation comes to life, another dies away.
But all of them bring entertaining yet retarded online drama to laugh at. I wonder what future drama gen Alpha will bring.

I watched a couple of this, on the one hand this is fucking zoomer brainrot, on the other, this legit is more entertaining that hollywood slop, I almost wanted to cheer for the cameramen at the end
I decided to watch the damned thing after all these news about movies and lawsuits, and this was surprisingly good. It has actually storytelling completely without dialogue, and it caused me to invest enough that I whispered "oh no" when the TV titan got shanked. I expected some lulzrandom bullshit but this has an actual narrative.

Help me understand: Is this a retarded boomer at Invisible Narratives thinking that the Skibidi Toilet assets are original, seeing them used in Gmod and Valve content and then filing an entire DMCA on the assumption they were stolen from Dafuq (despite many of these assets now being 20 years old)??

Whoever did it, they did it with 0 research. I guarantee they never even looked up what Garry's Mod was. When they fired that DMCA (which under US law is a legal declaration done under statute) it probably never even occurred to them they were taking a shot at the literal King of PC gaming. Gabe Newell (pbuh, long may he reign).

I would be fascinated to know if they even realized how badly they've fucked up their job at this point. I bet they are sitting fat and happy right now thinking it's just a matter of time before this "Garry bitch" kneels to their very important legal demand.

I'm chalking this up to a certified woman moment. Nobody with a vagina knows about Garry's mod and King Gabe.

Valve might not be as crappy as Nintendo when it comes to copyright strike
A multi million dollar IP was created, and now has a Hollywood movie being developed that blatantly used Valve's assets and they said nothing the whole time. People have been using their assets forever without any complaint. The only time they stepped in was when actual source code was being used, which they need to protect to prevent precedent being set that they do not retain control over their copyright (friendly reminder that copyright law was written by the dumbest people to ever exist). "might not be as crappy"? Are you blind AND stupid?

The titular Skibidi Toilet is basically G man's head model right? So do they have to get Valve's permission or probably just change the face?
No, it's Male_07, one of the NPCs from HL2. It goes without saying that they don't have the rights to this model. Like, at all. The thing is, they are just now realizing that Skibidi Toilet is a potentially massive cash cow and are trying to turn it from a silly parody into its own distinct intellectual property, which means disentangling it from its status as a series of SFM/GMOD shorts made with assets they don't even fucking own. If I were them, I would not want to try taking Valve to court, because I would be completely fucked. If it were me, I would just separate it out, hire a team to animate remakes of all of the shorts with all-new art alongside new episodes and a movie, and then, as soon as my audience had transferred over to the new content, I'd quietly take down the original channel and hope nobody notices my entire franchise was jump-started with other companies' art assets. I would let fans do whatever they wanted. I would not sue Valve, nor would I sue anyone posting Skibidi-related content to the Steam Workshop for GMOD or anything like that. I would do everything I could to avoid a courtroom.

This Russian copyright trolling shit reminds me of what happened to SCP. That case had some similarities; the SCP wiki was chock-full of literally stolen photos and art. And then copyright trolls laid claim to it.

I'm curious how this would playout in court, I'd imagine it's incredibly rare for someone to infringe on someone else's copyright and then proceed to sue the people they are stealing from. It's like a nigga stealing a bike and then running to the cops and saying "hey, that nigga over there stole my bike! arrest him."

Reading this thread lowered my already low IQ and life expectancy.
>Dafuqboom makes Skibidi Toilet
>Blows up with zoomers astronomically hard
>Basically stop making any type of previous animation
>Continues to influence an entire fucking generation with further brain rot at an unprecedented level
>Can't imagine the amount of money this shit makes
>Eventually gets so popular you he gets a movie deal with MICHAEL FUCKING BAY
>sues Garry's mod creator...Garry (and others? I know Valve but are they going after others too?) despite using assets from Garry's Mod
>But wait, it's not Dafaqboom, but the retards who signed him the deal
I'm not sure what...black magic INVIZ did or if they know "where the bodies are hidden" that got him the deal to make a Skibidi Toilet movie, let alone with Michael Bay in the first place, but this shit needs to be documented as both how a shitpost can reach generational levels and how fast it can crash and burn.
