Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

Jeet names are funny, but Naboo is very much fancy european fart sniffer palaces.

Consigna even sounds italian. I'm a Sheev a Palpatine Consigna, mamma mia Jedi are a worst!
I can just imagine the fight in the Chancellor's Office if Palpatine spoke like that.

Palpatine: ''This is-a treason! I'm-a gonna make linguini out of you!''

Mace Windu: ''Try it, meatball!''

That doesn't really mean anything to me. Isn't that an animated comedy?

It is. It really dumb and gay and full of woke injection but (from the couple of Seas. 1 episodes I was made to watch) it is the only Trek thing made since Enterprise was canceled that has been created by people who actually like Star Trek. Like they are still preaching shitlibs but they actually worked with previously established canon instead of shitting on it and "subverting expectations by breaking new ground!" every five minutes.

That's new, the only thing I got from it was that its artstyle was black chick rick and morty.

I think the actor for Palpatine did a perfect job.

It was pretty much a less retarded, ass-huffing Trek version of rick and morty. My consoomer friend had it on when I came to visit. we were hanging out else where while it was on, and when we actually sat down in the living room and I gently suggested he watch something not completely retarded. But from the parts I caught ,when they weren't cramming in stupid R&M grade "humor" or retarded situations they actually referenced people and events correctly. Unlike what I've seen of Picard or Discovery, the people involved seemed to like Star Trek.
It felt like the result of someone who was a Trek fan and a Rick and Morty fan making a combination of the two. Which doesn't mean its good, just they didn't feel a need to make Riker a bitter old man sucking on walrus titty.

Also (at least iepisode I watched) the white man alpha chad jock was shown to be competent and completely correct, no subversion the joke was that they case of losers should have just listened to Chad Thundercock, which was shocking in CURRENT YEAR.

I was reminded of one of the more annoying parts of Clone Wars today, the whole Obi-Wan/Satine romance. I don't have too much of a problem with them trying to make Obi-Wan parallel Anakin and Padme's relationship, but I do fucking hate the moment where Obi-Wan admits that he would totally abandon the order and all his duties just to be with Satine. Fuck no, Obi-Wan is a ride-or-die jedi, no woman is coming between him and the Order. Like, the point of the parallel should be that Obi-Wan is willing to let go of Satine and put his duty to the Jedi above his love for her, not echoing Anakin.
The CGI Luke shit always rubbed me wrong because Disney was weaponizing the autistic lunatics who would throw a massive tantrum if they cast anyone but Mark Hamil to play him. That CG Tarkin puppet in Rogue One was the worst of it though.
It's so fucking arbitrary to use a massively expensive CGI deep fake when the actor you're faking over is already a close to perfect match for a young Mark Hamil and probably just needs some make up.

Ten minutes of Outlaws gameplay dropped today:

I hope IGN was playing with the graphics set to low because if this is high or ultra high, holy fuck it's bad. The animations look like hot garbage. My modded Skyrim has better walking and running animations made by Jap NEETs for free. Why do they keep making thermal detonators so weak? In the EU they would vaporize everything within a dozen meters or more. That's why everyone shit their pants in Jabba's palace when Leia whipped one out.

Why do I have a feeling a sarlacc's "second mouth" is its vagina?

The show was supposed to take place during the High Republic but they retooled it to fit in the Furloni-verse. The rewrites and paying for Jude Law is going to make it cost way more than it should.
How do you make a level set inside the corpse of a Sarlaac boring? It's just a generic cave you walk in and grab the thing you need. "It's a dead Sarlaac, who knows what could be down there." Turns out there's fucking nothing down there.

That and the Fox seasons of the Orville. Which, unlike Lower Decks, could actually be good. Then Disney bought that too lmao.

Obi-Wan's relationship with Siri Tachi was always more compelling and interesting, even though it was basically told entirely through young reader novels. They're both Jedi, they both acknowledge they have feelings for each other, and they both agree to go their separate ways. Obi-Wan also handles her loss extremely well and befitting of a Jedi. Him being Anakin's foil has always been more important than him having parallels to Anakin, even since the drafts of Episode IV where Vader wasn't going to be Luke's father. Satine robs him of all of that and makes Obi-Wan, the only real paragon of the Jedi (who's only real failing is that he upheld a promise he made to a dying Qui-Gon and thus had a blindspot regarding Anakin), a massive hypocrite.

Actually he's more of a hypocrite in Canon, outside of the movies, than Windu is, because Windu's dogmatic streak and dickish tendencies have been toned down so much that him storming Palpatine's office doesn't really make sense with how other media has portrayed him.

I watched the first episode of Lower Decks, it was meh. I don't know if it's zoomer humor or what you call it, just something that wasn't for me. Male character a fool. Know it all female who they attempt to make cool. I have read the first few episodes should be ignored and there's a notable improvement. Although I never bothered to check that out.

As for Skeleton Crew, I was of the impression that it was a bunch of kids that crew a Starship under Jude Law. I assume it'll be a bunch of diverse female Wesley Crushers.

Most of my knowledge of EU mandos comes from Wookipedia, but I will say that the Post-Episode 6 stuff from before the buyout is convoluted as shit.
* The Mandos are exinct
* actually no they're not there are like 3 + Boba Fett.
* Oh Boba is Mandalore but he can't set foot on the planet. Which is a jungle(?).
* Also they're allies with the Republic.
* Oh no they're not, they're working with the Vong?

Some things probably needed to get reworked.

Admittedly, EU had a lot of contradictory stuff in it. Almost unavoidable when it spawns 30+ years and probably hundred+ authors in total. One overly-specific example that comes to my mind right now, is a screenshot of a comic page where Bespin is established to have a surface with a jungle (the planet is supposed to be a gas giant like Jupiter, just with breathable atmosphere and habitable temperature.)

Disney was still wrong to nuke absolutely EVERYTHING. EU already had some kind of system where stuff is tiered based on "canon strength" That went something like:
1. Episodes 1-6
2. Stuff that George Lucas was heavily involved in (2008 Clone Wars cartoon)
3. Games/Comics
4. Old ass newspaper comics
5. Holiday Special tier

p. much, like I said usual SJW woke nonesense in the eps. Just insteadof Picard where the writers room was a bunch of chapped ass trannies, niggers, fags, and catmom dryeggs who didn't like Star Trek, the Lower Decks writers room seems to be full of zoomer trannies, niggers, fags, and catmom dryeggs who were fans of Star Trek.

Seth MacFarlane is an actual nerd and knows what he's on about, but he's also gotten shitlibbed so I could never bother with Orville.

I still blame that hacky, proto-Disney writer Traviss for a lot of the Mando contradictions.

How bad was Druckmann's Star Wars game that EA and Disney axed it twice but Outlaws gets to come out?
Druckmann worked on a SW game? I know David Cage has SW Eclipse that looks more like DUNC than Star Wars.

I think they went with deepfake Luke because they probably didn't want to go through the trouble of hiring a look-alike if they had no plan for the character later on.

You should watch The Orville, it's pretty good. Yes, Seth is left-leaning, perhaps like the rest of the cast and crew but he made a really good show that is better than the crap made today. If you miss Star Trek pre-JJ/Kurtzman, then The Orville is a light version of the Berman era.

if you like ST you'd be shocked by it. it's the only regular network tv show I have liked in 15 years. there are some episodes that are too faggy for me, particular the bortis ones but it's just more TNG
