William Andrew Stamper / "Stamper" / StamperTV / dr_stamper / drstamper / NiggaCrown - Newgrounds old guard on a drug-and-alcohol-induced downward spiral, burning bridges with friends and family, got arrested for DUI

Stamper was arrested yesterday evening:

He was arrested for his outstanding warrants with no new charges. I don't know if that means they nabbed his ass or if he turned himself in. The mugshot is currently the one from September, but maybe it will update to a new one soon like last time. His custody status on VINElink updated this afternoon to be "Out of Custody" on "Own Recognizance", but there hasn't been any activity on his social media accounts yet. The Mesa Ecourt site "Disposition" pages have updated as well:

His trespassing charge from September was dismissed, but Stamper plead guilty to the one from April and the false reporting charge. They both show that he received a 2-day jail sentence, which, along with his silence, makes me think VINElink might be wrong and he's still in jail. If so, I don't know if they're cumulative or concurrent. The "Events" page on the Ecourt showed that he had a court appearance this morning at 8:30, but it's changed now back to what it previously was (most recent event being his failure to appear in February with no new events scheduled). The "Disposition" pages showed the bond set at $500 for each case when the warrants were still active; I don't know if he had to deal with that somehow.

Whether it was voluntary or not, I'm sure he'll be ranting about it on Twitter as soon as he gets the chance.

That's one of the cases he was just convicted in. He claimed that as the reason he was charged back in September.

Also he got banned from Twitter early this morning. I didn't see him post anything in particular that would have caused it, so I'm assuming it was either for ban evasion or saying faggot, retard, and nigga a lot.

Looks like, despite his current situations, Stamper's still working with the Behemoth. With a lot of the old Behemoth games getting an update, chances are he may also be seeing a bit of a flow of income coming through soon (depending on if he (still) gets royalties on the music he's produced for them).

I sincerely doubt that Behemoth is brining him back considering he got the company into a sexual harassment suit. The voice announcing the Battleblock update sounded like someone trying to do an impression of Stamper. All the other sound bytes sound like assets they just reused.

I can't speak for the fact if he gets royalties or not but I doubt it since most video game VA work gig work, (look into how several VAs shit on Rockstar post GTA release for not paying them more money). And like I said before, there is probably very bad blood between Stamper and Dan Paladin post lawsuit but Stampers recordings are tied to those games.

Yeah there's no way that's Stamper. The first voice they played is some ersatz voice and then they play an actual Stamper clip afterwards and the difference is night and day.

A quick skim of this new account shows that he is back in communication with his mom and has, at the very least, access to a couch to sleep on. He talks about a microwave meal meaning that where ever he is he does not have access to any cookware more advanced than said microwave which I'm sure is an annoyance due to his love of cooking. A quick note of the cell phone screen shot shows what appears to be a Cashapp notification which is probably serving as his only source of money from his mother or enablers.

And aside from a mention of his ongoing Trespassing charge, this is yet another account of unfiltered schizo posting.

I feel like the rise and fall of Stamper is something that only a handful of people online can understand and appreciate (for lack of a better word), but I do want him to quit getting in his own way and be better/happy.

In my opinion you either have to be an animation-autist, you “just had to be around back then” on Newgrounds, or you’re a SleepyCast fan to know who and what stamper is and how it came to this. I couldnt see some zoomer “drama YouTuber”/“lolcow YouTuber” having the patience or the perspective to make a quality video on Stamper from when he was at his peak to where he is now. I mentioned it in the Chris Tyson thread re: NG alumni & Shadman but my favorite Stamper story arc will always be when he invited some schizophrenic homeless lady to live in his house and she became his totally platonic non-sexual mommy figure. That was kind of endearing underneath all the drug abuse and the mental illness.

From the stories they've told, it seems Stamper is extremely easy-going and good-natured, and will go out of his way to help people without thinking much of the consequences.
But from the same token, he's tremendously irresponsible and takes stupid risks, which is how he got where he is now.
Also he's not so good about accepting help, even as he passive-aggressives around bemoaning the lack of help he gets (because he rejected it, and he rejected it because accepting it would mean changing the bad habits he doesn't want to change).

One of the worst parts of mental illness is that it brings out both the best and worst in people, which you can really see at times with him.
