I don't buy the sex victim to pooner pipeline either. Women have been victims before. They never cut their fucking tits off and LARPED as dudes en masse in the past. Women have been raped since the dawn of time and trooning has never been a problem. Saying Men make women into pooners by sexual assault is retarded. It ignores the groomers who groom them into it. It ignores the people around them who encourage it. It ignores the doctor's and medical system that allows them to do it. And lastly, it ignores the women who wind up regretting it.
All of these people and society have to work together to lob a woman's tits off and make her take testosterone. You have multiple people and forces working together in sync to encourage and groom women into this. They're taking advantage of rape victims, and in my mind that's almost as bad as the rapist.
I only know of one FtM who transitioned after/arguably because of a past rape (don't know them personally but they used to date a friend) and they honestly were fairly candid about wanting to transition out of a desire to not be a "weak female." (Read: "able to potentially be assaulted again.")
Most of the other FtMs I know/know in passing pretty much grew up as tomboys and, in any other, saner time would just identify as women who aren't particularly traditionally feminine, but since it's Current Year, they've decided/are told that they must be men deep down.
You can easily make the argument for boys wanting to transition because they basically endured a decade of propaganda on how evil, bad and responsible for all horrible things they are in the world. How incompatible they are with modern life, and how every boy not interested in cars, roughing each other up or being the biggest alpha male in their social peers rather is a woman.
I can also see how some see it as an escape from the rat race and all the expectations people have on them. Having to go to war was never as likely as today, and it is a scary thought. Boys may think they are not real men if they feel fright about it, or if they find themselves not having an instinct of sacrificing themselves for society while the ideal propagandized archetype of a men does exactly that. Sometimes the one things, sometimes the other. It really depends what society needs in the current era before the white feathers are distributed again to everyone who is not "a real men". If you don't just want to be societies expandable worker bee, looking at the other side seems seductive: There are no expectations for women. You don't have to check some boxes to earn that title. There is no potential for vengeful shaming and social exclusion for not meeting some special criteria. You simple go through your adolescence, and then you just are.
In my experience, a lot of MtFs are, quite honestly, incels who unironically believe in the whole "women live life on Easy Mode" thing. They have a very exaggerated, "porny" view of what it's like to be a woman. their idea of being a woman is all hair/makeup/clothes/nails, big tits, sexy outfits and high heels, etc. I've heard a lot of them say, half jokingly but half in seriousness, that now that they're women they don't have to work and can just do sex work (which they interpret as dressing in cute outfits and diddling around on Chaturbate) or have a sugar daddy.
I am confident this is a reaction to the pushback against grooming and pedophilia. Questioning if a 28 year old girl can consent is the same as asking if a 6 year old girl can and if you disagree, you are obviously a pedophile. Which then of course goes back to the discussion about how old is old enough. It’s pretty transparent to me and anyone who pushes this line of thought is endorsing grooming and pedophilia, whether they realize it or not.

The discourse online about age gap relationships is so weird to me. Men aren't allowed to date women who are younger than them, because that's grooming and taking advantage of a vulnerable young girl, but they aren't allowed to date women who are older than them either, because after 25 women hit the wall and become shriveled up hags, lolol le empty egg carton.
