Assuming they are intersex (not roided up), this situation is weird and not black-and-white like AGP troon losers competing in women’s sport.

I always laugh when I see trans/non-binary people trying to latch onto intersex issues like they’re remotely the same. The see the biological requirements for male and female divisions and act as if made specifically to exclude trans people, and they use cases like these as a gotcha to try and show that by trying to exclude them you also exclude some “actual”men/women who are biological outliers.

The fact that intersex tends to be lumped in with LGBT does more harm than good for intersex people. Not only does it associate them with troons (who sometimes refer to themselves as being intersex instead of transgender) but it also reduces them to their disability, which is not a gender identity but an actual medical issue. Many intersex people live their lives having to put in extra effort to try and be the gender that they were assigned to at birth or were raised as, they just want to lives their lives as normal people unlike transpeople who choose to under go that suffering.
Imagine living your life as a normal, cis heterosexual, but because you have let’s say down syndrome or something, you are believed to be inherently LGBT and automatically associated with that community.

If anything, looking at the 2024 Paris Olympics makes me think we took the 2020 Tokyo Olympics for granted. Sure, we might have not liked the coronavirus restrictions and actual organic protests from Tokyo’s naturalized citizens not liking the fact that they put Japan’s own athletes and tourists under strict guidelines just to have a safe and controlled sporting event seen all around the globe, but it has to be a little bit better on comparison to what’s going on in France,

How is it in current day where your own ceremony is legit being overshadowed by actual attempts of crime, robbery, infrastructure being compromised and actual teams from Israel and Iran being threatened with real death threats and fights from refugees trying to start drama between both countries?

I’m just rambling probably stating the obvious, but you don’t want your Olympics ceremony to be remembered as trying to pigeonhole and force LGBTQ+ and radical Islam ideology with French politics overshadowing the positives about athleticism and fitness. Hey friendo, As an australian some background information is needed to explain why people are mad at the matildas.

the matildas have been all over our media since just before the womens world cup, you probably couldnt walk 20 meters in one of our cities without seeing one of them on an advertising billboard, weve had documentaries made about them and how they are changing the face of womens sport in this country, hell our news programs proabbly run a story on them once a week.

so when social media photos of the team on the beach or at bars started to crop up when they were at the training camp, and then their campaign was losing 2 and the one game they did win was a clusterfuck where they were down 5-2 and the african team proceeded to spud it up so badly match fixing could be alleged.


There is a perception that they didnt take the group games very seriously, that they drunk their own bathwater and didnt give 100%.

Australia as a country hates nothing more from our sportsmen and sportswomen than that.

I was wondering the other day wtf they were thinking in the first place to backpedal so hard, even after the torrent of support for parodying the Last Supper they've now invalidated. To my thinking they either:

1) are in such a bubble they unironically didn't expect any backlash for a trans last supper and just scrambled when it happened
2) expected controversy but didn't expect the IOC to be pissed or to cut the segment out of some countries' broadcast
