probably the same reason the abbos don't secede from Australia, no downside to being there, if anything you probably get gibs, shitty as they are (telephone service, roads, etc), and no military force that can fight off a half-asleep pajeet in a second-hand humvee

Pajeets despise the Khmer people. Every time I hear them talk about Nagaland and Assam, they refer to them as "disgusting chinks" but simultaneously they try to say the land is part "aMaZiNg InDiA".
The country to the east..Burma is even poorer than India (they have no economy or infrastructure) but its less filthy.

These people are privileged enough they haven't ever needed to develop their range of social communication to realise that the only off switch to such barbarism is the simpler social language of the negative reinforcement of anger and shame. Bewilderment and politeness go nowhere, those require a more complex language of civility, notably that of empathy. There is no theory of mind in such barbarism, so any social cues must take place within their own emotional landscape, and not your own; for them to pickup on your emotional landscape, that requires empathy, and that requires at some elementary civics.
It's the same deal when an autistic person has a tantrum/meltdown, or when a sane person has a survival situation, empathy goes out the window, and management is about self-regulation over all else. The less integrated one is with their environment, the shorter the fuse, to where it can become a permanent fixture or even state of their existence, forgoing their humanity, and relegating themself to only the animal part of the human animal.
In a civilised person, it isn't necessary to experience negative reinforcement by the hands of another, instead it can occur through haunting, which is the self-reflection/recognition of another's pain, which then to avoid trauma must be successfully and holistically integrate into a sustainably and supreme political philosophy that reduces universal pain (their pain, your pain, their rights, your rights) into a balance of trade offs.
Sometimes these barbarics consider themselves civilised, but they've confused a social philosophy with a civil philosophy, to them it is mere that of "gimmedat" politics; that your pain is not as valuable as my pain, and you owe me what you have as you are better off than me; without the developed intellect to recognise and reflect upon the generational harms of such; that maybe the onus of the issue is somewhere more expedient, more agentive, more divine; with universal preferential behaviour guaranteeing liberty through distributed-emergent enablement. Not seeing many genetic studies with material from that area but if I'd hazard a guess they're probably a Tibeto-Burman offshoot native to the region with minimal admixture from the rest of India. So tl;dr they're a kind of Asian ethnicity-wise.

Going to add that Goa wasn't actually handed back to India, but rather was invaded by India and seized from Portugal during 1961.
For the same reason Goa, or Kashmir does. The central Indian government is supremacist upon their own Hindi values. They are willing to fight in favour of their own ambitions. The north, Kashmir and Pakistan bring them ever closer to central Asian countries with the likes of Afghanistan and Iran. It allows them to compete over influence. They had occupied and intervened in Bangladesh (which had been the Muslim part of the Bengali region in 1971 it would have simply been too difficult for India to have integrated Bangladesh into India. It was done more so to hinder the Pakistani state. India wishes they had the empire that the Arabs, the Mongels and the British had. They though, do not.

The Caribbean islands...west indies...the people there..west Indians. Spices...Indian. To be honest this sounds like the easiest fuck up ever to make as part of a mundane job. I'd get it more if he was doing this every time you went or if he got uppity about you pointing out the mistake or especially if it was a relatively large amount like $50 he screwed up or if "7/11 wagie" was a job where I assumed that there was a super high bar for who can work there with the expectation of never making a banal mistake.
