That Metal Thread

With a lot of the young'uns these days being so soft, it makes sense that eventually they would demand that metal needs to become a "safe space." They decry the elitism in the metal scene. Metalheads have always been elitist. Gatekeeping has always existed. They either need to grow thicker skin or find a music genre that enjoys being a hugbox.

zero tolerance, MAXIMUM ABUSE, false not entry.

Theres a genre for that, its called kpop where literally every one of the fucking fans is an uwu schizophrenic.

Absolutely. IIRC they were banned from the entire US (?)
Incorrect. Taake/Hoest are still able to enter the US and Canada. Unlike other "banned" musicians, I don't think he has a criminal record, which is generally the go-to when it comes to forbidding entry to questionable bands/musicians. It's too bad that they canceled that tour, instead of doubling down. Horna faced similar circumstances during their North American tour shortly afterwards (beginning of 2019, iirc) and had a ton of promoters/venues withdraw, but continued with the tour anyhow using a host of convoluted methods to book shows and deter antifa, I didn't catch that tour but an old bandmate of mine did and said it was a great show with an electric atmosphere.

Proscriptor decided he didn't want a tranny in his band and fired the troon-guitarist. That's literally it.
To clarify, he didn't want Absu as a project to be associated with the connotations and headache of having a troon in the mix as he thought that would distract from the fundamental image of the band. Wise choice too, as every project the guitarist has been in since has made his fetish a focal point.

The only reason any of these retards care now is that Proscriptor is (assumedly) bringing the Absu name out of retirement. New merch is being printed and they've booked at least a couple of shows under the name. I have no idea what this means for the Apsu project, though.

A new interview with Blasphemy recently came out, and Grave Desecrator is fairly obviously snorting coke throughout lol. For example from 14:40 for the next minute or so you can see (and hear off-camera) that he's up to something, same at 23:50, plus the way he keeps talking over Caller of Storms.

I don't know the first thing about doing coke. Is he putting dabs in the rim of the beer can?

Not really surprising since he's literally a drug dealer. Blasphemy is one of those war metal bands that walks the walk. They're all a bunch of degenerates in the best way possible.

In sad news, Trey from Morbid Angel is going through meth psychosis and suicide baiting on Youtube :(

I usually don't pay much attention to tats but his are pretty rad, I have to admit, especially his chequered hand.

Also Dragged Into Sunlight are great, recently started to listen to Hatred for Mankind. You ever seen them live?

Just bought, recent reissue. This was the first Death album that needed to grow on me first, but I gradually started warming to it a lot.
