Nick could easily afford an accountant to take care of stuff on the regular, at least back when he was streaming regularly. But this is the guy who hired an editor, to do nothing. Who hates having people employed by him (or at least working for him), to the detriment of his own career. Much like everything else he's done.
Even when people still liked him, his weird and autistic inability to delegate even to people willing to do his bidding was a perennial complaint. I honestly haven't even figured that one out yet. Most cult leader types actually want their minions to DO something. Nick can't seem to figure out what he wants them to do.
Calling forcing open the door bc the "responsible adults" refused entry "violent" is a bit much.
I think it by definition is "violent," although on a smaller scale than a dynamic SWAT team entry. I don't think they used something like a battering ram, but instead used some more specialized method of opening a normal front door, like a bar. Nevertheless, it is something that outside the context of law enforcement would be called "breaking and entering," and anyone standing right next to that door would be in danger as it burst open.
In short, he put his kids in danger even if the cops used a means of entry less destructive than they could have used.
Ramming a door off its hinges isn't violent? That's a weird nitpick.
They didn't actually ram it. They used some other sort of device.
That is daffed. If a solicitor cannot control his client in a free fall plunge, he should pull the rip cord as quickly as possible once he knows he is not the best advocate for his client.
There is no best advocate for such a client. I seriously doubt hiring the Barneswalker is going to turn out well. If you have a retard of a client like this, who is also a lawyer, and a despicable piece of shit, I'd say screw the faggot out of every dime you can get and laugh when he goes to prison, unless you take such a reputational hit from doing it that it wrecks your own future, or if you can't tolerate more such clients, because you'll get them (much like Barnes seems to specialize in).
Actually when I think about it that way, yeah, pull the ripcord, fuck having to deal with people like Nick no matter how big the paycheck.
