The left is incapable of understanding something they don't agree with. The best one is when they claim Heinlein was racist for literally no reason. I haven't read all of his books but every single one I have did not have a white protag. Rico is philipino, Manny is philipino, the guy from Stranger is a fucking Martian. Or when they defend the bugs despite the bugs being literal fucking slave-drivers.
How do you make leftists like “fascist” works aka Male Power Fantasies? Insert some basic lefty messaging that only extends surface level and then it’s “satirical” or “subversive.”

Think about Verhoeven’s “Robocop” and “Dirty Harry.” What do those two movies basically amount to? Superhero cop saves the day by blasting bad guys with a badass handcannon pistol. Robocop gets praise for lampooning 80s Reagan America and Dirty Harry gets called fascist.

But really at the end of the day aren’t they the same damn thing? Why does it matter if the final villain is a corrupt corporate CEO or just a psychopathic sniper? The solution to both the cop shooting them to the cheers of the audience.

And we're supposed to believe Emhoff's kids totally love "Momala." When daddy screwed around on mommy with the nanny, then later divorced mommy and got a new mommy four years later who is a political opportunist who loves trading sexual favors for any other kind of favor. Yeah, just the kind of stepmom kids historically adore. One or both of those kids is going to put a (metaphorical. hopefully) knife in her back.

Hollywood types tend to live in a very left leaning bubble. Add that to the weird fucked up world they inhabit, what with the constant sexual abuse, intrigue and backstabbing and you have a person whose reality is so twisted by their life's circumstances that they're barely human and just cannot relate to normal people.

Hence the odd weird takes you get in shit like this. Where the "bad guy" seems to come out the most normal and often the most likeable character. We saw it in the abortion that was the Acolyte, we see it in a tonne of movies and we see it tossed in with characters like Rorschach and Nixon.
It's clear that a lot of people in Hollywood are barely-disguised psychopaths. I was telling someone about how this shows up in Guardians of the Galaxy. The movie starts with an unearned attempt to manipulate the viewer as the main character is at his dying mom's bedside. She asks him why he got in trouble in school and he says he beat up some kids because they killed a frog. So the first thing we learn about this guy is that he is so compassionate with such a strong sense of justice he'll fight other kids over killing a frog.

Fast forward to him as an adult living in space and he sneaks into this cave where there are a bunch of little critters that hiss at him and act defensive. He responds to this by place-kicking them across the cave, clearly with no regard for their well-being. Maybe the critters are dangerous and he has no other choice? No, because he picks one up and plays with it like it's a microphone as he lip-syncs the song shoehorned in for blatant 80s nostalgia pandering. He's clearly not threatened by the critters and is treating them brutally as a joke.

James Gunn clearly has some idea of how compassion and morality appeal to people, but he has no idea how they actually manifest in a person or how they preclude certain actions. It wasn't surprising his tweets revealed he sees child rape as a joke too. The Last Jedi had another good example of this in the scene where Chewbacca decides not to eat the porg. He didn't eat it out of sympathy for the other porgs but he still killed and roasted it, and this is a character who's supposed to be like a big comforting teddy bear for the child audience. This kind of stuff could really warp kids who watch it uncritically.

Being as Hollywood basically expresses the soul of the US political left, it's helpful to point out how alien they've become to any remotely normal person.

Seeing news outlets covering Kamala’s husbands affair with the nanny.

I’ll never understand rich people who abandon their kids. You’re too fucking wealthy to be evading responsibility like this. You don’t even have to see the kid - just throw money at it and let it have your name.

Between Kamala’s husband and Biden’s son, they have all these abandoned mystery kids.

There are poor and desperate men and women that work their asses off to keep and provide their kids. I guess they must not be sociopathic.
The "vote Blue no matter who" people don't care about this.

But they'll mention that Trump has been married multiple times as if that's the worst thing ever (even though he's never abandoned his kids or grandkids ... In fact, quite the opposite.)

Hey Kiwibros?

Right after Biden announced his stepdown from the race, when it was just becoming apparent that Kamala was going to be coronated...

A friend, a close friend, with very close connections in Minnesota DFL politics told me something strange.

He told me that Tim Walz, Minnesota governor, was the actual VP pick for Kamala Harris. Furthermore, he told me that anything I might see to the contrary about anyone else being a frontrunner was basically a dog-and-pony show in order to make it so that people were relieved and happy with the Walz choice instead of Monday morning quarterbacking the decision.

He's a close friend, someone I'd trust with my life, and he said he was dead serious. I still wasn't quite sure whether to believe it, not because I didn't think he'd really heard it, but because who knew if his political friends were being truthful with him? For that matter, who knows if Kamala had even been honest with the pick, or maybe just told everyone "you're my very special little boy."

Well, anyway, I think he was probably right all along.

I immediately hate him. He also isn't as funny as the stabby IDF man getting into the Vice President position. I don't know who he is or what his policies are, but he's already embarrassing me.

I always thought that Moore writing Rorschach as brave, honorable, and self sacrificing and expecting people to go "wow what a freak I hate him" was a particularly revealing look into the progressive mind and how fucking diseased and warped they are.
There's more to it than what you described. Rorschach was created to be an expy of Steve Ditko's Mr. A and/or Question who are themselves an representation of Steve's belief of Objectivism. Now, think what you want about Objectivism, the point is that Moore is such a massive fucking A-Log when it comes to Ditko and his political view that he made a parody character just to kill him off.

Another point is that the entirety of the plot is basically "Fuck Ronald Reagan". In fact, the whole "using an alien threat to bring the nations together" is a direct call to Reagan's Address to the 42d Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, New York where he basically stated the only thing that can bring together the nations of the world is an alien invasion.

Yeah. It was supposed to be Al Gore keeping the seat warm while Hillary! made herself look sort-of, kind-of electable by carpet bagging in New York in a seat where the DNC HEAVILY encouraged the incumbent to retire (or be "retired"). Al Gore would then have two periods of being president (possibly with Hillary! being VP for the second, or she finishes out the senate term, and then has two years to fundraise/campaign for president) and which point she would be anointed as the President in 2008. Unfortunately Bush was elected. And even worse, Obama came out of nowhere and sniped the 2008 election. This explains why she pretty much had a drunken breakdown (as did the media) when she lost in 2016. It LITERALLY was her turn, dammit. She'd been planning it since her husband was elected in 1992.
The meltdowns on the left around the SCOTUS stuff and GWB getting elected were a kind of foretaste of what we saw in 2016. Not as entertaining or suicidal, but some pretty big freakouts were going on. I was in college and there were the usual kinds of girls with the 2000 equivalent of a side shave and problem glasses, crying in the hallways.

The phrasing about what happened to Emhoff's affair baby is vague- was it adopted out or aborted? All the news stories I see are worded very carefully so you can't say for sure.

From the CNN story:

The Daily Mail reported that the woman became pregnant and that, according to a close friend, she “did not keep the child.” The woman, whom CNN is not naming, did not return a voicemail on Saturday afternoon looking for comment.

I really messed up a batch of instant potatoes once. They were all runny, lukewarm, and tasted weird and bland at the same time. Left a grainy film on your tongue. I kept trying to add stuff to them to fix it but no deal.

Anyhow those potatoes were more memorable than this shmoe. Will that be good or bad for Kamala, remains to be seen.

Walz came up with the "weird" line.
Oh, now I hate him more. Out of touch, hypocritical, bloated, seems boring- Oh. He's a choice to get the boomer vote, isn't he?

Well. That's definitely lamer and less shitstirring as that Shapiro guy, and it's not what I want, so I reject this reality.

Walz came up with the "weird" line. He's a former high school teacher. Didn't every high school have one of these smarmy liberal teachers who viciously used groupthink against any kid who dared to speak disagreement?
The one at our school was a menopausal mean girl who had complaints filed against her every single year for sexually harassing male athletes.

I wonder if they are going to try to make this guy "America's slightly unsettling high school track coach" like how they tried to make Tim Kain or however the hell you spell it into "America's Stepdad."

Lindsay Graham officially introduced a resolution to the US Senate on Wednesday to authorize military action against Iran. Reason is "muh WMDs".

Here we go again.

Tim Waltz is the greatest asshole Minnesota has ever produced. Trust me I'm from there.

The baby mama took a picture with three kids. Two of them were her friend's kids, the third was a mystery baby. The Mail's implying that third baby was her illegitimate baby with Doug (also known as Jack) Emhoff. That would suggest that the person asked was wrong and she kept the kid
