It's clear that a lot of people in Hollywood are barely-disguised psychopaths. I was telling someone about how this shows up in Guardians of the Galaxy. The movie starts with an unearned attempt to manipulate the viewer as the main character is at his dying mom's bedside. She asks him why he got in trouble in school and he says he beat up some kids because they killed a frog. So the first thing we learn about this guy is that he is so compassionate with such a strong sense of justice he'll fight other kids over killing a frog.

Fast forward to him as an adult living in space and he sneaks into this cave where there are a bunch of little critters that hiss at him and act defensive. He responds to this by place-kicking them across the cave, clearly with no regard for their well-being. Maybe the critters are dangerous and he has no other choice? No, because he picks one up and plays with it like it's a microphone as he lip-syncs the song shoehorned in for blatant 80s nostalgia pandering. He's clearly not threatened by the critters and is treating them brutally as a joke.
I looked away and I'm not sure how politics got to be about super hero movies, but my take was that it was supposed to be showing he's not a great person. The movies are a little inconsistent about how much being raised by the Ravagers affects him, but in the third movie they go out of their way to show how Gamora is different having found her independence under the influence of the Ravagers, too. At least I never thought Peter was supposed to be a beacon of morality.

Anyway, my very delayed reaction to actual politics: it's absolutely insane how much the media covers for the Democrats' bad behavior. You can have people like Kamala running their mouth off, talking about how they want to debate Trump and he won't accept it because he's a coward, but the moment that he accepts the challenge they back off and somehow the media covers for them and pretends they're in the right. Same with when Biden repeatedly challenged Trump to golf to call him a coward, and then the moment Trump accepted they just dropped that whole thing and acted like Trump was being silly.

I really wonder sometimes if Democrats would be able to function literally at all if they had to face neutral, impartial media. Not even antagonistic media.

I've heard of Tim Walz since 2018 but I never heard him speak until I saw this vid. He gives off chomo vibes. His daughter looks really uncomfortable in the vid.

(Apparently his daughter would use the info she knew from her connection to her father to tell BLM rioters in 2020 when law enforcement was going to show up)

edit: seriously, just watch the vid I linked; looks like a conniving old chubby man with a pervy smile, feeling up a scared looking teen girl

The baby mama took a picture with three kids. Two of them were her friend's kids, the third was a mystery baby. The Mail's implying that third baby was her illegitimate baby with Doug (also known as Jack) Emhoff. That would suggest that the person asked was wrong and she kept the kid
I know the Mail is implying that, but I'm skeptical because they sometimes jump to exactly that kind of conclusion and everyone else is being so carefully vague. Also she's a nanny- she is likely to have someone's baby around a lot of the time.

Maybe we will find out down the road, maybe not. No legit journos are likely to actually do due diligence on this one.

Tom Walz is the type of fag who acts moderate but is more liberal than any of the other white boy candidates out there right now. He’s pre stroke Shrek without even having any attempt to pretend he’s a real person. He’s got that Adam Schiff nasty without any redeeming qualities thing going on.

If it’s Walz they definitely are just trying to stop serious losses or are going to rig it so badly it’s civil war in ‘25.

Temu Alan Hale.

If the prospect of WW3, renting for life, 20 million illegals taking your jobs, you live in tent, you live with your mom and dad til you die, and whatever, does not get you to vote Trump, nothing will.

And you deserve what you get.

Look at Canada. Unfiltered migration. Highest cost of living. 15000 dead because they are waiting to get treated in the emergency. Taxed 50% of your income.

It's so shit. Nothing happens here. No opportunity. No jobs. Shit wages. Nothing.

I just came back from another trip to USA. It's all teens and kids working. Come to Canada. It's all fucking international students, refugee, or temporary migrant.
I wish Canadian politics were more like America's every day. America has at least some leaders with balls.

I think Walz is a genuinely dangerous choice for Trump's chances in the general, because his kind of scoffy grandpa folksy garbage might work on some people. I think he will portray himself as kindly grandpa Santa Claus who wants all the children to eat for free and will get out his country-fried phrasebook for creative Trump putdowns. It should make for some extremely clown world exchanges but I do worry that this act is good enough to fool enough of the people enough of the time.

ETA: I'm just realizing now that Trump is going to use this thing about her cheating husband forever. He doesn't care that he's probably knocked up a few women more than his marriage count, he'll say it anyway. He's probably workshopping it now. The standup comedian we deserve.

The meltdowns on the left around the SCOTUS stuff and GWB getting elected were a kind of foretaste of what we saw in 2016. Not as entertaining or suicidal, but some pretty big freakouts were going on. I was in college and there were the usual kinds of girls with the 2000 equivalent of a side shave and problem glasses, crying in the hallways.
This also happened in 1980 when Reagan won, and liberals have spent their entire lives resenting the country for electing him since. Getting bitter and hateful over not getting their way has been a liberal thing for at least a couple of generations.

The liberal left loves to weaponize acting like a smug high school kid who gets refused service at a fast food restaurant. They act like children. That's probably why they only read Harry Potter.

So I assume it will be Shapiro and the memo has gone out he'll be better on Israel policy.

Are they saying that the Israeli lobby and control is so strong that no non-Jewish person can stand up to Israel?
They’re coping because it might turn down Arab support that could cost them Michigan. I say “might” because I just don’t know how much the Arab voting populace blames Biden directly or just America in general.

If it is Shapiro gonna laugh my ass off when Illhan Omar and Tlaib have to kiss the ring and say Vote For Kamala/Shapiro.

Already will it do more damg , biden in general with refusing even sending letter been given. Funny deal trump mused just hear letter. Replays to them. Given next two month stuff happen bit of test of char for people.

This is some brilliant 5-D chess.

If Kamala's campaign and simps ignore it, he can keep saying it.

If they deny it, or chide him for saying it ("Once Again, Trump Trots Out Tired, Sexist Lies About Kamala")...they have to talk about it.

Both scenarios end up informing normies about the allegations, and make her look bad.

Best part was the canonical end of Meathead: he cheats on Gloria offscreen with a younger woman and she leaves him, and he's never seen again.
Knowing them, they'll bring up project 2025 or call him convicted felon

That's a BS excuse considering he already agreed to the ABC debate after fiiing his lawsuit against them.
i'm late but the judge only threw out ABC's motion to dismiss a few days ago. its a surprising ruling given defamation of a public figure and the usual "we're not journalists, we're entertainers" line msm use whenever theyre sued for defamation. Trump's lawsuit was considered doa before the judge threw it out.

I can see Walz as a reasonable pick. Minnesota seems relatively safe (unless they have internal polls we are unaware of) so it doesn't add much for them, but it does avoid some of the downsides that Shapiro brings given so much of the Democrat base is pro-Palestine. Additionally, he served in the national guard for over two decades, which broadly helps the ticket out.

Of course there's also the possibility that they're throwing names out to feel out public response as they vet everyone to make sure their pick doesn't have any skeletons in their closet. They just want to keep people guessing because the longer people spend focused on who the VP pick is, the less they're focused on what an awful candidate Kamala is. They may also be saving it until the convention in order to build hype.

Basically the film was originally a completely unrelated sci-fi script about hunting space bugs. Then some assistant read the script and said 'that sounds like Starship Troopers' so they hastily bought the film rights to Heinlein's novel and incorporated elements from the book into the existing script
The Starship Troopers movie is essentially Imperial Guard vs Tyranids in Warhammer 40K
