If someone else can write something up (@Random Internet Person maybe?) I can add to it and fill in blanks, links etc but real life commitments are woefully eating in to my shitposting time. @Arthur Morgan has all her video links, @Jaimas knows the deep GamerGate lore, @Boston Brand provided BookScan numbers so we know how poorly her books sold.

In terms of overhaul and renovations, I have some OPs that might be worth having some work done:

-This thread I made on Todd In The Shadows, a music reviewer and former Channel Awesome producer. ( I think it’s fine, but given Todd is lolcow adjacent considering how he’s an associate of a few BreadTubers, and Lindsay’s ex boyfriend, I think that it may need sprucing up if it ever gets taken out of Multimedia. @Ninon42 can help a lot.)

-This thread on the web series Death Battle. (I don’t expect it to ever leave Multimedia, but I think it’s due for an overhaul since Rooster Teeth died. @Hooligan Handgun is a great user who knows that beat.)

-This thread on Team Four Star. I made it in the wake of them ending Dragon Ball Z Abridged, and I think that it could use another look to see if it needs improving, particularly since it seems some of the TFS crew could be lolcows in their own right but have been overlooked since they never tried their hands at a solo career.


As for stuff I didn’t make:

-Foodie Beauty. Chantal’s exploits in Kuwait as well as everything after converting to Islam hasn’t been put in there. The last OP update was in 2021.



-Linkara Hasn’t been updated since 2013, If anything, it really doesn’t do a great job in telling the guy’s story or his work.

-Doug Walker The thread hasn’t had an update since the #ChangeTheChannel saga in 2018, and we’ve had the fallout from his review of The Wall, his Oneyplays connection, and the CA website die since then. @PeriodicTrouble you think you got anything to add in regards to Doug and/or Lewis?

Currently working on this one. I should have something posted to PG by the end of today. I've been doing research and archive work, including finding the green M&M image.

I agree a lot of the TGWTG OPs could use a heavy revamp.

This is probably the unluckiest thread I've ever made, not in terms of quality but in terms of how many times I got screwed over by "Save Draft". This project was started yesterday night, I've done practically 60% of the thread. You can imagine my face when I checked the next day to see that most of the stuff I wrote was completely gone.

I always write all my threads in a local text file before pasting them to the farms, avoids this problem entirely.

All right, quick and dirty:

1. Lindsay Ellis was an IRL Friend of Zoe Quinn. If they're no longer friends, tell someone else, I don't care, they were during this fuckfest.
2. When the 5 Guys incident happened, Ellis' friends were all actively attempting to get it buried. This is because they all dwell in the same netspace with overlapping community.
3. When it became clear that the incident would not go quietly as the response to 5 Guys gradually turned into GamerGate, Kyle and Todd went hot on the TGWTG forums, demanding that the site take a stand against Quinn's harassers.
4. Many of the site's regulars did just to shut them the fuck up. A rare few, like Guru Larry, were openly pro-GG and told them to fuck off. Others, like Brad, (wisely) refused to get involved. Others, like Diamanda Hagan and Count Jackula, demanded to know why this was a necessary thing, only to be blown off. I'd post the link to the video where Hagan and Jackula discussed it, but it no longer fucking exists because it's been sperged off the internet.
5. Dan Olson spent more time screeching about GG than he did his actual fucking job, creating one video during the year of 2014 in which he accused a hashtag consumer movement of fucking terrorism.
6. Not long after this, it would come out that Dan was an active member of Crash Override Network, Zoe Quinn's dubious non-profit, in which it would turn out he was instrumental to the defunding campaign against 8chan - using a honeypot to set up CP for Dan to "find" and report. The person who set this up, purportedly, was Laurelai Bailey. He would then chase this by being part of the team that attempted to run interference on behalf of fellow CON member Sarah Nyberg, after Nyberg had been outed as a pedophile who had already had encounters with law enforcement.
7. Mike Michaud would eventually fire Olson over his inability to create actual content. During Change the Channel, Ellis would claim that Michaud fired him just to be mean, not caring how important the work he was doing was, when in reality, Ellis' team and fanbase were a toxic fucking overspill that tore a giant rift down the center of the website, demanding conformity with their political aims. Todd and Kyle in particular were the worst offenders. In reality, Olson knew he was going to be canned as early as December of that year, due to how many people pointing out his sting operation had uploaded CP.
8. Ellis' team knew about JewWario's sexual indiscretions, but covered them up. Supposedly, because Gamergate. The post in which Dan Olson admits to such was on Something Awful.
