Talking to some people in Coventry (death be upon the cursed city), and plod are out in force. Foot bobbies everyhere, cars driving around. But so are the muzzies in coventry, but that might just be because the city is utterly riddled with them. There's protests planned there today and tomorrow apparently.

I know that there's planned protests this weekend at Newcastle, people are also scrambling to set up counter protests and such too. Newcastle is 90% football hooligans and violence so wondering how that is going to turn out (I always finish up shopping there by around 5 or 6pm then head home, as any later and they start crawling out the woodwork to drink and get loud/violent). These are people who will beat you mercilessly for just having anything Sunderland FC related on (massive rivalry between Newcastle and Sunderland football clubs), so people are anticipating a lot from this. Was also surprised they didn't take part in the initial riots, having Sunderland go first was the unusual part, normally Newcastle is more known for such behaviour.
