The Taylor swift cult is one thing I'll admit confuses me. Her music is objectively very mid and yet I could spend a few weeks on a tropical island resort for what people pay for her concert tickets.

I feel like it's some kind of psyop. If you are gullible enough to think this is just the most incredible, worthwhile music of your generation, worth endlessly collecting versions of, you're clearly malleable to whatever shape the powers that be want to hammer you into.

It's essentially an indicator of how fast you load an NPC update in the absence of anyone having direct power over you, just pure social contagion. Imagine what people would have said about a group of grown people exchanging "friendship bracelets" 20 years ago. But now it's normal and fun and "stop telling people how to have fun" if you say anything is weird or childish about it.

Once they can get you to think Taylor Swift's concert is a once-in-a-lifetime friendship event worth dropping a grand on, they can get you to chatter endlessly on social media about coconuts and how JD Vance is "weird" just by putting those sentiments into the right influencer lips.

Someone I know has had a recurring dream for a number of years in which he's talking to people he knows, normal people, and suddenly they turn their head to the side, their mouth opens up like a chain chomp, and it just starts blaring loud advertisements. Then after a few seconds they turn back and act like everything's normal. He's been talking about the dream for over a decade, and it seemed kind of funny then, I mean, ha ha, product placement! ... now it really just seems like the world we live in.

The zeitgeist is pretty firmly moving away from tranny degeneracy. The last people to understand that will be the truly ideologically captured. That's unfortunate for them, because they'll very publicly look foolish exactly when they need to be quiet.

So you’re saying that we’ll have some new material coming out of the woodwork specifically after the dust settles? Thanks for the heads up, I’ll be pre-ordering my popcorn.

Has China found a new man in Washington now the Biden family are no use? Tim Walz’s long history with China raises uncomfortable questions for anybody who understands how China works, writes former NSA counterintelligence officer John Schindler @20committee.

Vice President Kamala Harris’s selection of Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) as her running mate was met with glee by many Democrats — but also by Republicans. The Left views Walz as a Midwestern progressive whose Minnesota-nice persona will help Harris win contested states.

But alongside a left-wing record that is sure to attract Republican campaign fire, Walz’s deep affection for Communist China is also likely to attract attention.

Shortly after finishing his undergraduate degree in his native Nebraska in 1989, Walz headed to China to teach in a high school in Guangdong Province north of Hong Kong. Asked later about his motivation for this, at a time when few Americans spent time in China, Walz explained, “China was coming, and that’s the reason that I went.” Upon his return home, Walz and his wife established a company called Educational Travel Adventures centered on taking American students to China. Together, the couple visited China every summer until 2003, including spending their honeymoon there, much as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) strangely honeymooned in the Soviet Union. By his admission, Walz has visited the country about 30 times. He’s obviously a Sinophile, and he speaks some Mandarin, too.

Many might ask, so what? Although Democrats insist that Walz had advocated human rights and the cause of Tibet, a bugbear with the communists in Beijing, his long history with China raises uncomfortable questions for anybody who understands how China works.

It was an odd choice to visit China in 1989, right as the regime was crushing dissent with tanks in the infamous Tiananmen Square massacre. This did nothing to diminish Walz’s admiration for Beijing. Upon his return from teaching in 1990, he told his local newspaper, “I was treated exceptionally well. There was no anti-Americanism whatsoever.” He gushed that the police state had “almost no crime.” While Walz allowed that the regime’s massacre of students the year before was less than ideal, he concluded: “If they had the proper leadership, there are no limits on what they could accomplish. They are such kind, generous, and capable people.”

You may recall a famous movie in which Frank Sinatra, playing an American who’s been brainwashed by Chinese communists, recites the line that another man “is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I’ve ever known in my life.”

While Walz’s relationship with the Chinese Communist Party may be nowhere near as dramatic or sinister as that fictional one, we need to ask what’s going on here, particularly in light of Walz’s admission in 1993 that his leading of student groups to China was funded by the regime. What did China think it was getting in exchange for this investment? What did Walz think Beijing expected in return?

Put simply, the Chinese communists aren’t running a holiday charity for American tourists. For those communists, nothing comes without a quid pro quo. It’s certain that Walz was vetted by the Ministry of State Security, the regime’s powerful secret police, because that’s how China works. No American would be allowed to run academic exchanges for a couple of decades, on the CCP’s dime, without MSS approval. It just wouldn’t happen.

While this doesn’t mean that Walz has a witting relationship with the MSS, what might it know about him after his 30 visits to the country? Three decades ago, a young American with an affection for China, who was also a part-time member of the U.S. military, would have been a tempting recruiting target for Chinese intelligence. Given that Beijing’s spies represent the greatest espionage threat to the United States today, this isn’t any merely academic query.

Moreover, we’re coming off four years of a Democratic president possessing odd, unexplained ties to Beijing, including millions of dollars given to his son by Chinese intelligence. Do we really want someone who may be even more compromised by China in the White House?

Democrats have spent the last nine years obsessing about former President Donald Trump’s alleged ties to Moscow, most of which turned out to be imaginary. Would anybody have thought Trump was fit for the Oval Office if he’d visited Russia 30 times, including on the Kremlin’s dime, and gushed about Moscow’s glories?

Since Harris is well known for her love of opposition research, she had to be aware of the governor’s longtime relationship with Beijing. She obviously didn’t care.

If nothing else, however, the choice of Walz as the vice presidential candidate reveals that Democrats’ obsessive interest in counterintelligence was a partisan sham from the start.

John R. Schindler served with the National Security Agency as a senior intelligence analyst and counterintelligence officer.

Oh, and Walz chose June 4 as his wedding date to commemorate the bloody anniversary of China's brutal crackdown on democracy protesters in China's Tiananmen Square. "He wanted to have a date he'll always remember," said his wife. That's weird.

tldr: Not only is Tim Walz pro-pedo, he's also pro-ccp and has connections to them.

Jesus DNC. You picked a good one lol.

Is that even a pro-Dem thing? If I saw this in the wild I’d assume they were a Republican taking a jab at Biden.
It's definitely a dem. This is one of those neighborhoods where any outward expression of conservatism would be met with vandalism, and the cheapest house on the block is probably 1.2 million.

Frankly with how people use Youtubers/podcasters/streamers who shill product exactly like that as Friend Simulators, this is the world we live in.

Oh I see, you meant a different bill. If you read the text of this bill that was passed, sexual orientation is defined as being "based on sex or gender identity," so it excludes pedophilia. The old definition was "to another person without regard to the sex of that person" and therefore required the exclusion.

Despite massively increased funding to public schools, national test scores have steadily declined:

I can explain that. When more funding is given to schools, the money goes to the Board of Education, which then disbursed the funds to the local school systems in general, not in specificity. None of the funds are itemized. This means that all money going into education can be spent on whatever and you can’t do anything about it. People scream for “more education funding” when they should be calling for audits.

When you argue with an NPC you are not arguing with a person you are arguing with the TV and the TV doesn't listen to what you say back to it.

In some amount of fairness, how much of Walz being put as VP him being the only person who doesn't have a political future worth damaging? Like, he's on the Literal Who tier - anyone with any name value probably took one look at this and went "Fuck that sinking ship", and the DNC just needed to throw someone there as a sacrifice while they focus on down ballots.

He was great in the worst witch.

I was a bit confused as I didn't remember that at all. Then I looked it up and found out it's from a completely different TV movie of The Worst Witch, not the TV show I'd watched. (The old one, not the recent one.) I want to watch that now.
