Basically my understanding of why all this demonic stuff became prevalent is because the glowies got into it as a way to control people and saw it as nothing more then a tool of subversion. Unfortunately for them they got too into it and now your seeing all the knockdown effects of them trying to create an environment were it's socially acceptable.
speaking of satanists, does anyone remember the FBI files that were released on "the finders" and the McMartin preschool tunnels in 2019 that metokur did a couple streams on back in the day?

did anything ever come of that? I can't believe that got memory holed so hard.

I don't think anything came of it.

I was a bit confused as I didn't remember that at all. Then I looked it up and found out it's from a completely different TV movie of The Worst Witch, not the TV show I'd watched. (The old one, not the recent one.) I want to watch that now.
You've literally seen the only good scene in the movie. The rest is pretty dull iirc.

I feel about the same way, but I wonder if it's mainly because it's music aimed at a younger crowd and not something that I am going to connect with at this point in my life. Although I can admit that some of her songs are catchy or understand why people might latch on to them, I don't think anything that I've heard from her is really great or will stand the test of time like some of the music from 80's or 90's will. I'd much rather have Cyndi Lauper, Kate Bush, Stevie Nicks, Liz Phair, Bonnie Tyler, or any number of other women who produced something that even people two decades from now will still resonate with. Even if you want to look at some artists more contemporary with Swift, someone like Neko Case just blows her completely out of the water.
The issue with Swift has always been that she's the best of a bad generation of talent. She does have some good songs but her cult of personality is partly based on her contemporaries sucking THAT. FUCKING. MUCH. and residual hate over what Kanye and Beyonce did to her at the VMAs.

There is actually a Wikipedia article about them that has citations.

tl;dr: they were caught doing weird Satanic ritual shit, were accused of sexually abusing children, and had manuals about grooming kids, but no one was charged. A lot of evidence disappeared and/or is still not publicly available despite constant requests. Later, a PI investigated and found out there was a CIA connection because a CIA-contracted accountant was part of this cult.

It's really suspicious.

Don't we all have a Midwestern dad who starts gay clubs with high schoolers, visits China 30 times on a teacher's salary, wants to get rid of free speech, and loves horse semen? Just every day Midwestern, blue collar values.
wait...

>loves horse semen
>likes pedophilia

did kamala pick fucking vaush as her running mate? lol

Young people today still LOVE music from 40 (or even 50+) years ago. Do you think young people in 1984 were rocking out to wartime tunes? Spoiler: I was there, we weren't. Here is a video of a 10 year old boy at some modern band's concert. He wants to play guitar with them so they bring him onstage. He doesn't want to play one of their songs with them though, he wants to play Sweet Child O' Mine by his favorite band Guns 'N Roses. Can you imagine a 10 year old boy being brought onstage at a Guns 'N Roses concert in 1987 and him asking to play a song from 1950 by his favourite 50s band?
But why don't we hear music like that being made today?

In some amount of fairness, how much of Walz being put as VP him being the only person who doesn't have a political future worth damaging? Like, he's on the Literal Who tier - anyone with any name value probably took one look at this and went "Fuck that sinking ship", and the DNC just needed to throw someone there as a sacrifice while they focus on down ballots.
Shapiro looked like he definitely wanted it, but ... Well ... I guess we can't talk about that Kosher Elephant in the room ...

Completely unrelated to this thread, but this reminds me of a story of how a 19 year old fan at a concert by the Who was brought on stage to fill in for Keith Moon who was too fucked up to play and passed out part way through the show. He filled in for a few songs until the crew managed to get Keith back on his feet.

Also, GNR had a cover of Knockin' on Heaven's Door which was a Dylan song. Not quite 50's, but still a great song and a good cover. A lot of great rock bands would be thrilled to play songs from decades back because they were usually huge music nerds that grew up loving those songs as well. In their MTV Unplugged show Nirvana did a Bowie cover.

Damb, thanks for that. I was looking for some new female-vocalist shit to listen to

She also does vocals for The New Pornographers if you're indie rock, but I prefer her solo work, which I think showcases her voice and songwriting talents far more. If you wanted to just get one album to try out I'd recommend Fox Confessor Brings the Flood which is my personal favorite. She's done some other collaborate work which is also pretty good.

I can explain that. When more funding is given to schools, the money goes to the Board of Education, which then disbursed the funds to the local school systems in general, not in specificity. None of the funds are itemized. This means that all money going into education can be spent on whatever and you can’t do anything about it. People scream for “more education funding” when they should be calling for audits.

It's long been shown that money does jack shit to improve outcomes in education. The charter schools in New York kick the shit out of the public ones even though they spend far less per student. The best thing we could do to improve primary and secondary education in the country would be to implement some kind of voucher program to give parents the ability to pick their school. Sweden (one of those countries Bernie likes to talk about even though he has no fucking clue about them) implemented a program like that and it led to actual improvements. Even the public schools improved because they actually had to get off their ass and compete.

Maybe he'll be spiteful enough about that he won't allow any kind of fuckery in Pennsylvania. Do keep in mind that Kamala winning in 2024 makes her the presumptive nominee for 2028 as well which means all of the eager contestants waiting in the wings won't be able to get in the game for 2032, which is a bit long for some of them to wait. There are a lot of Democrats who are probably more personally inclined for Harris to lose given that Trump is done after this term even if he were to win.
